Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pouncy McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonso Escovedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGee's entrance music is Anna Lucia. A fine choice. Escovedo has chosen call to prayer as his entrance music. Alonso Escovedo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee scores with a jab to the jaw.
McGee takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
McGee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McGee throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
McGee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Escovedo moves away.
Escovedo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McGee.
McGee tries for a takedown but Escovedo circles away easily
and Escovedo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Escovedo counters with a nice low kick that buckles McGee's knee momentarily.
McGee fails with the takedown.

Escovedo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McGee moves away.
Escovedo throws a right hand that McGee ducks under and follows up with a left that McGee also avoids with ease.
McGee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Escovedo.
Escovedo jabs McGee to the body, keeping him at a distance.
McGee is breathing heavily.
Escovedo throws a wild body kick that McGee sees coming a mile off.
McGee dodges the punch combination from Escovedo.
Escovedo swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by McGee.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Escovedo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Escovedo closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Escovedo throws a leg kick but McGee sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Escovedo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McGee rather than just go for the knockout.

and Escovedo counters with a crisp one two that drops McGee! Escovedo thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves McGee to his feet! McGee is in big trouble!
Escovedo goes for a small jab and connects. Now Escovedo goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! McGee stumbles back but Escovedo runs in with a huge uppercut knocking McGee to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if McGee will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

James throws a strike but Silcic rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

James is looking to take a break and control but Silcic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kolo drops Glue with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Glue looks back up at him and smiles so Kolo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Esteves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Esteves might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Before I Forgot-Skipknot. The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: Forró Japonęs. Junior Gracie will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.
