The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Carwin to the mat! Carwin manages to get full guard. Carwin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Emelianenko is aware though and is defending well. Emelianenko is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carwin can't keep his opponent in guard - Emelianenko advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Carwin blocking the ground and pound attempt from Emelianenko. Emelianenko is figuring out what he wants to do next. Carwin wants to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Emelianenko. Emelianenko keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Fedor Emelianenko wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nice defenses there by Carwin. Emelianenko takes a swing at Carwin's ribcage but misses. No joy there for Emelianenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crack Corn fails with a takedown attempt. Maniche throws a right and a left that Crack Corn avoids nicely. Maniche avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Maniche throws a hook to the side of Crack Corn's head but Crack Corn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Crack Corn closes the distance and pushes Maniche back into the cage. Crack Corn wants a takedown but no success here.
Maniche escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maniche defending well as Crack Corn loads up on a big left hand. Crack Corn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Maniche is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crack Corn is controlling him. Crack Corn trying to control but Maniche is working from the bottom. Maniche wants to stand and escape but Crack Corn is having none of it. Crack Corn throwing strikes but missing. Crack Corn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crack Corn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crack Corn trying to control from half guard but Maniche is working away. Maniche tries to kick Crack Corn off but Crack Corn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Maniche is not content to let Crack Corn control the position. Crack Corn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Maniche knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

We're going to have a standup here because Jimmy Crack Corn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Crack Corn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maniche's waist but Maniche gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Crack Corn off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Crack Corn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Crack Corn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maniche throws a nice looking combination but Crack Corn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Crack Corn works over Maniche's head and body with a nice combination. Crack Corn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Maniche throws a shot from downtown. Crack Corn moves away and avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crack Corn fails with the takedown. Crack Corn drops his hands momentarily and Maniche takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Maniche checks a leg kick. Maniche looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Crack Corn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maniche is fending him off so far but Crack Corn persists. Nope, Maniche circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Crack Corn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maniche will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Crack Corn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Crack Corn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Maniche ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crack Corn moves away. Maniche stuffs the takedown. Maniche scores with the left hand. Crack Corn knows he should have avoided that one. Crack Corn avoids a punch combination nicely.

Crack Corn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Maniche sprawls well initially but Crack Corn persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Maniche is looking to escape. Maniche is not content to let Crack Corn control the position. Crack Corn passes to full mount! Crack Corn content just to control the position here. Crack Corn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Crack Corn wants to control the pace but Maniche is squirming around nicely. Maniche is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Maniche fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Crack Corn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Crack Corn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Maniche makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Some wild striking there from Maniche.

Crack Corn's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Crack Corn duly obliges. Maniche throws a big shot that misses. Crack Corn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Crack Corn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maniche is refusing to be controlled, as Crack Corn sits in half guard. Maniche is trying to stand.
Crack Corn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Maniche! Crack Corn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Maniche is looking to escape. Maniche is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn controlling his opponent. Maniche is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Crack Corn controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Crack Corn cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Crack Corn raining down shots from the mount! Crack Corn looking to control but Maniche is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Maniche is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Crack Corn looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Crack Corn has hold of Maniche's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Maniche manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Maniche tries to buck Crack Corn off but he can't manage it.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Crack Corn showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crack Corn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Gallo enables Terrier to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gallo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Terrier throwing strikes from guard but Gallo blocks nicely. Terrier is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gallo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gallo has escaped and now he's on top! Gallo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Terrier has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gallo is looking to defend but Terrier has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gallo! Terrier pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gallo taps out and this one is all over!

Terence McKenna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McKenna looks to land a left hand but Chiba moved out of range nicely. Chiba throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McKenna tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chiba is in McKenna's guard.

Chiba got a little sloppy there for a moment and McKenna has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chiba has managed to get both his arms back between McKenna's legs - danger averted. McKenna trying to keep a closed guard but Chiba is proving a slippery customer.
McKenna is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McKenna escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chiba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McKenna is breathing heavily. McKenna misses with a leg kick. A big left from McKenna misses. Chiba checks the leg kick nicely there.
McKenna gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Chiba to score an easy takedown into full guard. McKenna bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chiba's guard. McKenna trying to move into half guard but instead Chiba has managed to sweep! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Leigh misses its intended target. Knocker wants to clinch up but Leigh keeps it at a distance. Knocker throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Leigh delivers a nice body kick. Knocker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leigh throws a leg kick that misses. Leigh looks to throw the jab but Knocker is out of range. Leigh swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Leigh avoids a kick to the body.
Knocker misses with an uppercut. Leigh saw that one coming. Leigh buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Knocker needs to keep his hands up - Leigh had a free shot at his head there. Knocker throws a jab when Leigh was well out of range. Leigh just misses with a punch to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Knocker throws a wild body kick that Leigh sees coming a mile off. Knocker looks to score with a jab to the body but Leigh is just out of range. A lazy body kick from Knocker and Leigh counters with a nice uppercut.

Can Leigh finish him? Knocker looks gassed! Leigh looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Leigh backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Knocker's temple! It sends Knocker violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Leigh celebrates and the doctors try to help Knocker!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Nakamura misses. Payne throws an overhand right that lands on Nakamura's shoulder, as Nakamura tries to avoid the shot. Nakamura lands a nice shot to the body.

Nakamura thows a left - swing and a miss! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nakamura. Nakamura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Payne circles away quickly and effectively. Nakamura tries to clinch up but Payne circles away and keeps his distance. Nakamura looks to land a right hand but Payne moved out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nakamura looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The strikes coming from Nakamura are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Payne is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nakamura off and has taken his back! Nakamura is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Payne gets his way!

That was a close round but I would say that Nobuhiro Nakamura will probably get the nod. That's time! Nakamura's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Nakamura prefers to stall for the moment though. Payne manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nakamura's best efforts. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakamura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Payne does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nakamura darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Nakamura takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Nakamura misses with a takedown attempt and Payne counters with a two punch combo. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Nakamura closes the distance looking to clinch and Payne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Payne counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nakamura's guard now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Payne will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
