The bell rings for round one and we are underway! al Zawahiri lands a big head kick that sends Rat tumbling to the mat! al Zawahiri takes a step backwards and waves Rat back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Jim Rat has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! al Zawahiri feints a jab and as Rat dips his head, al Zawahiri unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Rat right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Rat falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! al Zawahiri smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jannik Hansen! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley tries to clinch there but Hansen circles away.
Riley rushes Hansen and presses him up against the cage. Hansen has Riley pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Riley manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hansen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Riley prevents it.
Riley manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Riley using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hansen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hansen turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Hansen working the ground and pound. Riley avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hansen. Riley tries to improve position but can't. An elbow from Hansen crashes against the mat.
Riley is pushing Hansen's head away, looking to escape. Hansen manages to hold on to the position though. Hansen lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Riley down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riley taking a bit of punishment here - Hansen scoring with strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hansen lands some shots froms side control.
Riley is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hansen lands a big left to the face of Riley, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Hansen and another - Riley is out! Hansen stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

Burt lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Walker is looking to close the distance but Burt sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Walker crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Walker is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dukem tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Martel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dukem looks gassed! Good exchange - Martel coming out on top.
That has opened up Nuke Dukem's cut even more. Martel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dukem tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Martel is in Dukem's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Martel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Martel slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martel has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Dukem defend it? Martel steps over the head and cranks it - Dukem is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Martel!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Elia misses. Elia misses the shot to the body. Kalei closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kalei lands in his opponent's guard. Kalei preventing the sweep. Elia is looking for a triangle but Kalei pushes his legs off easily.
Kalei drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kalei jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Elia looking for a sweep. Not yet Elia, not yet. Elia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kalei defends it easily. Elia tries to land a sweep but no joy. Elia looking for a guillotine here but Kalei defends easily.

Johan Elia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kalei swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kalei connects with a high kick. Elia looks to land a right hand but Kalei moved out of range. Kalei tries to score a power double leg takedown but Elia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kalei somewhat. Kalei thows a body shot but no joy. Kalei dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kalei tries to clinch but Elia is having none of it. Kalei slips a straight right by Elia. Kalei bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kalei closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Elia did well to prevent Kalei getting side control. Kalei is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

He's simply no match for Kalei on the ground. Elia is looking for a sweep. Kalei is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ground and pound from Kalei. Elia is refusing to be controlled, as Kalei sits in half guard. Elia is in trouble now - Kalei has advanced to mount!

Kalei steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Elia. Elia throws a nice outside leg kick. Elia with a nice cross. A nice inside leg kick there by Elia. That's going to slow Kalei down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Elia throws a lazy right hand but Kalei sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Elia avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kalei thuds a left hand into Elia's body. Elia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kalei. Elia throws out a loose jab but Kalei uses good head movement to avoid it. Kalei lands a nice shot that snaps Elia's head back.

and Kalei counters by moving into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Elia as Kalei tries to tie him up. Elia tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Elia jumps guard but Kalei stands there with Elia around his waist. Elia gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kalei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kalei is trying hard to land a takedown here. Elia sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Elia throws a nice looking combination but Kalei bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kalei moves out of range of the strikes. Elia with a body punch. A glancing blow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pika Kalei dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kalei needs to keep his hands up - Elia had a free shot at his head there. Elia looks to throw the jab but Kalei is out of range. Kalei throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Elia to counter with a crisp jab. Kalei wants to clinch and Elia counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nice uppercut lands for Elia. That snapped Kalei's head back.
Elia stuffs the takedown attempt from Kalei. Kalei gets slowly back to his feet. A head kick from Kalei lands but Elia takes it in his stride. Elia smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Kalei throws a body punch but Elia moves out of range. Elia lands a right hook to the body.
Elia waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kalei. Pika Kalei is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fighters circling - Elia throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Some wild striking there from Kalei.
Kalei is breathing heavily. Kalei shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Elia's guard. Elia wants to sweep but no luck. Elia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Elia has his foot on Kalei's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kalei works his way back into a safe position though.

Hoost lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Hoost thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Shenanigan if he has to take too many more of those.
Shenanigan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Hoost fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shenanigan. A nice inside leg kick there by Hoost. That's going to slow Shenanigan down. Hoost turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Shenanigan is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hoost lands a front kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hoost.

That's one minute gone in the round. Look low, kick high! Hoost uses the oldest trick in the book to send Shenanigan tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Hoost is absolutely delighted - when Shenanigan wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
