2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joseph Brown! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dakarai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brown's waist but Brown gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dakarai off to one side. Brown keeps the fight on the outside. Brown lands a jab to Dakarai's midsection. Brown scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Brown just misses with a punch to the body.
Dakarai moves into the clinch.
Dakarai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dakarai on the wrong end of a nice hook. Brown scores with the left hand. Dakarai knows he should have avoided that one.
 It looks like Zamir Dakarai has been cut. Dakarai shoots in but Brown avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dakarai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zamir Dakarai. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown lands a nice hook to Dakarai's body. Dakarai takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Brown lands a nice looking body shot.
Dakarai is breathing heavily. Brown scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Dakarai. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Dakarai takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Brown lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dakarai at a distance.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Denton lands with a shot to the body. Denton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Praline. Denton misses with a straight right. Denton takes a swing at Praline's ribcage but misses.
Praline looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Denton keeping moving, preventing Praline from controlling successfully. Denton trying to keep a closed guard but Praline is proving a slippery customer.
Praline postures up in Denton's guard and throws a big left but Denton blocks it. Praline stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Denton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Denton is pressing down on Praline's thigh, looking to free his foot. Praline is holding on for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Praline is trying to maintain the position but Denton is very close to passing his half guard. Praline scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Praline slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Praline trying to control the position from guard on top but Denton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Praline tries to free his leg and advance position but Denton is retaining full guard. Praline trying to control but Denton is working from the bottom.
 The ref stands the fighters back up. Eric Praline wasn't doing enough on the ground. Denton throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Denton looks to score with a jab to the body but Praline is just out of range.

Praline in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Praline slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Denton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Praline throws and elbow that misses. Denton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Praline's guard. Nice move by Denton!

Brown is squirming around, avoiding Tyson's attempts to control the action.

Tyson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Brown is now in Tyson's guard. A big mistake from Tyson there, giving up the dominant position! Tyson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brown controlling from the top position. Brown wants to stand but Tyson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Brown not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
 The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Brown wasn't active enough on the ground. Brown lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.  It looks like Mark Brown has been cut. Tyson shoots in for a double leg but Brown sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tyson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brown is fending him off so far but Tyson persists. Nope, Brown circles away and we're back to standing. Brown lets loose with a powerful body kick. Tyson will feel that in the morning. Brown feints and then cracks Tyson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tyson down. Tyson misses with an uppercut. A slapping leg kick lands for Brown.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A shot to the body from Tyson misses and Brown counters with a good, hard body kick but Tyson shrugs it off. A slapping body kick lands there for Brown. A head kick from Brown lands but Tyson takes it in his stride.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cristo moves away. Duke walks forward, straight into a front kick from Cristo. Duke takes a swing at Cristo's ribcage but misses. Cristo scores with a kick to the midsection. Cristo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Duke's calf. Cristo connects with a high kick.
 It looks like Raoul Duke has been cut. Duke just misses with a punch to the body.
Cristo scores with a push kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Duke thows a body shot but no joy. Cristo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Duke will feel that in the morning. Duke looks gassed!

Nasqu bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kongo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kongo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Kongo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
 It looks like Cy Nasqu has been cut. A telegraphed right hand from Nasqu misses the target. Kongo is looking to slow Nasqu down with leg kicks.

Kongo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Nasqu misses with a straight right. Kongo looks for the body kick but Nasqu saw that one coming. Kongo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Nasqu throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kongo tries a head kick but it misses.

 That has opened up Cy Nasqu's cut even more. Kongo misses with a head kick.
Kongo misses with a low kick as Nasqu jumps back. A head kick misses from Kongo. Kongo throws a leg kick that misses. Nasqu takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Nasqu thuds a left hand into Kongo's body. Nasqu tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A nice leg kick lands there from Kongo.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kongo, right into the meat.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kongo connects with a leg kick. Nasqu looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Kongo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Cheick Kongo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cy Nasqu's cut. That's time! Kongo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kongo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kongo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kongo avoids a punch combination nicely.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Nasqu might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kongo has got the better of the exchanges.

Nasqu has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Kongo. Kongo lands with a kick to the temple. Nasqu shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
 The cut above Cy Nasqu's eye is starting to cause him problems now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nasqu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kongo. Some bone on bone action there as Nasqu checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Nasqu has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kongo. Kongo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nasqu can do to turn this around? Kongo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kongo connects with a solid leg kick. Kongo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Nasqu is out of range and Kongo settles back down.

Kongo does a little dance to reset his feet. Nasqu throws a shot from downtown. Kongo moves away and avoids it. Kongo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kongo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

You could hear that one land in a back row.

Nasqu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kongo. Nasqu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kongo. Kongo defending well as Nasqu loads up on a big left hand. Kongo misses with a low kick. Cy Nasqu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nasqu jabs Kongo to the body, keeping him at a distance. Nice defenses there by Kongo. Nasqu jabs at Kongo's body. Good leg kick by Kongo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kongo throws a half hearted mid kick. Nasqu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nasqu swinging wildly here.

Nasqu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kongo manages to avoid it. Nasqu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kongo. Kongo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick.
