The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strangess circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cogburn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Strangess manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Strangess attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Some wild striking there from Cogburn.
Cogburn could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Strangess drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cogburn is looking for a sweep. Cogburn tries to escape but Strangess is in control. Strangess is staying tight to Cogburn's torso, preventing him from escaping. Cogburn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Cogburn wants to get back to his feet.
Strangess is working for a submission of some sort.
Strangess is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cogburn defends it well. Strangess thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cogburn to regain full guard.

Cogburn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Strangess wants to pass the guard but Cogburn is keeping the position. Cogburn wants to get back to his feet but Strangess is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Strangess postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Strangess loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cogburn is looking to stand up but Strangess isn't so interested in that idea. Strangess must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cogburn is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Cogburn is breathing heavily. Cogburn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Strangess avoids it. Strangess shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Strangess was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Strangess misses with a head shot. Cogburn in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Cogburn avoids a series of strikes thrown by Strangess.

Strangess tries to pass to full mount but Cogburn defends it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cogburn keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Strangess throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Still in half guard, Strangess seems content to control. Cogburn is looking for a sweep. Strangess is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cogburn keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Strangess. Strangess will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Strangess lands a jab to Cogburn's midsection. Strangess throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Strangess stuns Cogburn with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Cogburn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cogburn wants to clinch. Strangess bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cogburn's head. Mike Strangess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strangess throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cogburn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Strangess lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Strangess drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Strangess moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Cogburn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Strangess with the ground and pound but Cogburn uses the opportunity to regain guard. Strangess looking to pass the guard. Strangess trying to control but Cogburn is working from the bottom. Strangess stopping the sweep attempt from Cogburn. Cogburn wriggles free and stands up.

Strangess lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Rooster Cogburn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Strangess ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Strangess looks for the body kick but Cogburn saw that one coming. Cogburn wants to clinch up but Strangess keeps it at a distance. Strangess looks for a takedown but Cogburn sprawls well. Rooster Cogburn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Strangess. Strangess scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Horrible takedown by Strangess or perhaps it was just good defense by Cogburn which made him look bad. Strangess fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cogburn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Strangess. Strangess swats away the attempt to clinch by Cogburn. Strangess catches Cogburn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Cogburn avoids the head kick by Strangess.

Some bone on bone action there as Cogburn checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Cogburn tries to clinch but Strangess is having none of it. Cogburn takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Strangess looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Cogburn tries to clinch but Strangess is having none of it. Cogburn moves into the clinch. Cogburn comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Cogburn tries to break free but Strangess pushes him back against the cage. Strangess lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Cogburn decides to pull guard. Strangess won't allow Cogburn to get back to his feet. Strangess postures up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Strangess showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Strangess connects with a body shot. Strangess connects with a single shot there. Strangess tries to land a front kick but Cogburn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Strangess lands a nice hook to Cogburn's body. Cogburn takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Strangess avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Cogburn tries to close the distance and clinch but Strangess swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Strangess shoots in looking for a takedown. Cogburn tries to sprawl out of it but Strangess keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cogburn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cogburn blocks a head kick by Strangess.
Strangess throws the kick towards the body but Cogburn avoids it. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Strangess. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cogburn wants to clinch. Cogburn throws a sloppy head kick and Strangess moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cogburn stuffs the takedown. Rooster Cogburn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Strangess. Strangess misses with a body kick. Strangess circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cogburn tries to clinch but Strangess is having none of it. Strangess looks to score with a jab to the body but Cogburn is just out of range. Cogburn takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Strangess throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cogburn's waist but Cogburn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Strangess off to one side. Strangess keeps the fight on the outside. Cogburn is looking to clinch. Cogburn tries to clinch but Strangess moves out of range. Cogburn fails in his attempt to clinch. Cogburn tries to clinch up but Strangess circles away and keeps his distance. Cogburn is looking to clinch but Strangess is avoiding it.
Strangess shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cogburn defends it nicely. Cogburn tries to close the distance and clinch but Strangess swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Strangess misses the shot to the body. Strangess digs a good body shot into Cogburn's ribs. Strangess throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Strangess circles away from the clinch attempt.
Strangess tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cogburn was well out of range. Poor timing from Strangess. Cogburn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Strangess swats him away and circles back towards the center. Strangess drives through with a takedown into guard. Strangess stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cogburn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Strangess trying to control the position from guard on top but Cogburn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Strangess wants to pass the guard but Cogburn is keeping the position. Cogburn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strangess tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Cogburn trying to control from half guard but Strangess is working away. Strangess is in trouble now - Cogburn has advanced to mount! Strangess really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cogburn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cogburn wants to finish this one by submission but Strangess is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cogburn. Strangess tries to reverse the position but Cogburn maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cogburn tries to control but Strangess wriggling away. Cogburn prevents Strangess from getting the reversal. Mike Strangess has got the better of the ground game so far. Strangess is squirming around, avoiding Cogburn's attempts to control the action. Rooster Cogburn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mike Strangess is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Strangess is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Strangess comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Strangess has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Legg stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet. Legg is looking to clinch. Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Legg throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Legg tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Legg chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Legg connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Legg closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Legg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Legg tries for a kimura but Smith is defending well. Smith is pushing Legg's head away, looking to escape. Legg manages to hold on to the position though. Legg has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Smith is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Legg yanks on the arm and Smith is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Legg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice combination there by Rage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hughes . Hughes on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Left hook, right uppercut from Rage. Hughes fails to land the takedown. Left hook, right uppercut from Rage. Rage feints a jab promting Hughes to slip. Rage then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hughes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Rage looks to land a combination. Hughes sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Rage works over Hughes 's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Left hook, right uppercut from Rage. Rage lands a jab. Hughes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rage lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rage ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Rage looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rage scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rage lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hughes is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes drops his hands for a split second and Rage immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Hughes face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Rage follows up with a right hand that knocks Hughes into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moralles drives through with a takedown into guard. Moralles wants to control from the top but Alonso keeps moving. Moralles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Alonso is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Moralles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moralles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Moralles tries to free his leg and advance position but Alonso is retaining full guard. Moralles preventing the sweep. Alonso keeping moving, preventing Moralles from controlling successfully. Moralles is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Alonso on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alonso tries to get out of the position. Alonso controlling Moralles's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moralles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alonso keeping moving, preventing Moralles from controlling successfully. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Alonso holds on and takes a little breather. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Moralles connects with a couple of short punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alonso keeping full guard, as Moralles tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Moralles drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Moralles seems to have locked his on tight now - Alonso screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Moralles, as he picks up the win!

It looks like Anupo Anubis has been cut. Canedo throws a series of punches but Anubis avoids them all with ease. Anubis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Canedo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Anubis is in Canedo's guard. Anubis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Canedo controls Anubis momentarily but Anubis frees himself. Anubis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Canedo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Canedo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Anubis. Anubis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Anubis trying to control but Canedo is working from the bottom. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Anubis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Canedo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Anupo Anubis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Langston throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Good work by West as he checks the leg kick. That kick from West tenderised Langston's leg. Langston is trying to keep his angry face on. Langston uses good head movement to avoid the hook from West. West fails with a takedown attempt. Langston is looking to score with low kicks. Langston leaves West with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Langston pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces West back to the cage. Langston follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Langston throws a leg kick but West sees it coming and moves out of range. No joy there for Langston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomes swings for the body but Beane moves out of range.

Gomes throws a right hand that Beane ducks under and follows up with a left that Beane also avoids with ease. Beane is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gomes's half guard. Beane lands strikes from half guard. Gomes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nice strikes from Beane there. Gomes is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Beane scores with a couple of nice shots.
It looks like Halbert Gomes has been cut. Beane moves into full mount! Gomes won't be happy about that! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gomes in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Jayd. Hannah Montana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circle momentarily. Jayd darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Montana shoots in for a takedown but Jayd shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Montana jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Charlie Jayd has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jayd waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Montana. A combination from Montana does no damage. Montana misses with a jab, cross combination.
Montana tries to close the distance and clinch but Jayd swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Montana throws a head kick but Jayd moves out of range.

Montana is pressing down on Jayd's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Montana striking off his back but it's not causing Jayd any problems. Montana is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Montana is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jayd defends well. Montana not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Montana has momentary wrist control but Jayd slips an elbow through the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montana throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Montana looks gassed! Jayd is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jayd forces his way into half guard. Montana tries to roll over but Jayd keeps him under control. Jayd uses his free foot to push down on Montana's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Montana. Jayd landing punches. Jayd landing strikes from the mount. Montana bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Montana preventing the sweep. Montana drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jayd looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jayd looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jayd! Jayd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Montana is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jayd working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Montana tries to improve position but can't. Montana manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jayd landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Montana is looking to escape. Montana is looking to improve his position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jayd takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Montana on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jayd is trying to control the action in half guard but Montana is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jayd is nestled in close to Montana, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie Jayd dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Montana throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jayd. Charlie Jayd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Montana falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jayd counters with a takedown into side control. Jayd working the head with strikes. Jayd in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Jayd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Montana knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Jayd in side control, throwing shots but Montana defends. Montana tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jayd wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Montana takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Montana is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Montana is trying to improve his position. Jayd is working to tighten is grip on Montana's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Montana has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jayd is really squeezing tight and eventually Montana passes out! Jayd breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
