The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickerson digs a good body shot into Von Foster's ribs. Von Foster looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Dickerson throws a nice looking combination but Von Foster bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dickerson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Dick Dickerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dickerson stalks Von Foster and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Von Foster's face. Von Foster staggers backwards, shaken. Dickerson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dickerson works over Von Foster's head and body with a nice combination. Von Foster is still on wobbly legs! Can Dickerson finish him? Dickerson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Von Foster's head. Von Foster loses concentration momentarily and Dickerson pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Von Foster crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Dickerson finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Povjeneks shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Povjeneks fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lee throws a head kick that misses and Povjeneks counters by clinching up. Lee has hold of one of Povjeneks's legs. Povjeneks is fighting the takedown attempt but Lee gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Lee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Povjeneks controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself. Povjeneks wants to stand but Lee is controlling the position. Povjeneks is trying to keep Lee in close.
Povjeneks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Povjeneks has a closed guard, preventing Lee from standing up.

Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Povjeneks shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Povjeneks has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lee jumps guard and drags Povjeneks to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Povjeneks content to stall in guard here. Povjeneks is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control. Lee is looking to stand up but Povjeneks isn't so interested in that idea. Povjeneks trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Povjeneks pushes down on Lee's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Povjeneks on the ground.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gracie tries to roll over but Mateusz keeps him under control. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruce McBrain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Felix Sturm! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McBrain misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sturm slips a jab and a cross from McBrain.
Sturm closes the distance and clinches up with McBrain, looking for a takedown. Sturm pushes McBrain against the cage but McBrain circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sturm closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sturm tries for a kimura but McBrain is defending well. Sturm decides to stand back up. Sturm steps back and let's McBrain get back to his feet. McBrain lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Felix Sturm has been cut. McBrain throws a right hand that misses
and Sturm counters with a head kick. That will keep McBrain thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! McBrain throws a right hand that Sturm ducks under and follows up with a left that Sturm also avoids with ease. Sturm fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McBrain. McBrain throws a poor cross that misses
and Sturm counters with a shoot takedown. McBrain fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sturm looking to pass the guard. Sturm advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sturm swings around for an armbar but McBrain sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sturm's guard. McBrain decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sturm, up you get! Sturm throws a quick inside leg kick. McBrain walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. McBrain throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sturm counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sturm. Sturm stands up and waves to McBrain to follow him. Sturm shoots in but no luck this time. Sturm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McBrain tries to avoid it but Sturm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McBrain to the ground. McBrain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bruce McBrain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Sturm. McBrain falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sturm counters with a takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Sturm tries to move to mount but McBrain blocks the move with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sturm is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sturm goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McBrain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sturm but great work by McBrain. Sturm looks gassed! Sturm is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McBrain is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Sturm is in all sorts of trouble here.
McBrain manages to capitalize on a mistake by Sturm to take his back! You can see the frustration on Sturm's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McBrain gets back to his feet. Sturm is certainly not going to complain about that decision. McBrain misses with a few strikes there.
McBrain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McBrain swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sturm counters with a nice double leg into side control. McBrain won't be happy with that. Sturm thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sturm is trying to get an arm triangle but McBrain is defending well. Sturm goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McBrain has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sturm but great work by McBrain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sturm manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Sturm seems to be working for a kimura but McBrain defends the submission attempt. Sturm looking for a submission but McBrain manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Sturm pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McBrain is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felix Sturm dominated that round. The cut man is working on Felix Sturm's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sturm avoids a punch combination nicely.
McBrain connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Sturm to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by McBrain!
