Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between KEN SHAMROCK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Mana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that KEN SHAMROCK has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily KEN SHAMROCK seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SHAMROCK slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Mana is desperately trying to improve his position but SHAMROCK has a good base and remains in mount.

SHAMROCK manages to capitalize on a mistake by Mana to take his back!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

SHAMROCK looking to break Mana's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Mana remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise SHAMROCK will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Mana wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mana is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake SHAMROCK off. It looks like it's working - SHAMROCK slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Mana displaying calm under pressure there.

and SHAMROCK cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mana shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with SHAMROCK but SHAMROCK pushes him off and we're back to square one.

SHAMROCK is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if SHAMROCK hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
