The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calhoun takes one on the button. Aoki throws a good cross that connects.
Aoki waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Calhoun. Aoki misses with a double jab.
Calhoun takes one on the button. Calhoun closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aoki circles away. Shinya Aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Calhoun is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Aoki connects with a right hand. Calhoun shakes it off.
Calhoun is rocked! Aoki throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Aoki cracks Calhoun with a right hand to the side of the head. Calhoun is still on wobbly legs! Can Aoki finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Calhoun has closed the distance and engaged Aoki in a clinch.
Aoki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Calhoun seems to have recovered his senses. Calhoun takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Calhoun shoots in for a double leg but Aoki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Calhoun shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Aoki jabs Calhoun to the body, keeping him at a distance. Aoki fails to land with a series of punches.
Good standup being displayed there by Aoki as he connects with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Aoki digs a good body shot into Calhoun's ribs. Calhoun looks gassed! Calhoun takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Aoki tests Calhoun's chin there with a solid looking shot. Calhoun gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Aoki gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nickers tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rizzo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nickers wants to clinch. Nickers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rizzo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rizzo stuffs the takedown attempt from Nickers. Nickers gets slowly back to his feet. Rizzo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Nickers counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Luis Rizzo has been cut. Nickers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nickers moves in looking to clinch but Rizzo pushes him off. Nickers looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rizzo is rocked! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Nickers frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Oh Rizzo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Nickers drops a big elbow. That's hurt Rizzo! More shots from Nickers and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nunes throws a head kick that misses. The Sith darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Nunes tries to clinch but The Sith moves out of range. The Sith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. The Sith scores with the left hand. Nunes knows he should have avoided that one. The Sith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nunes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The Sith pinned against the cage. The Sith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The Sith shoots in and bounces Nunes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The Sith wants to pass the guard but Nunes is keeping the position. The Sith is working hard here to advance position. The Sith postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nunes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of The Sith, into his guard. The Sith working for a triangle but Nunes defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunes trying to control the position from guard on top but The Sith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nunes keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of The Sith's head. The Sith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nunes's guard. The Sith has gone for a leg lock! Nunes slips out almost immediately though and dives into The Sith's guard. Nunes got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Sith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nunes has managed to get both his arms back between The Sith's legs - danger averted. The Sith working for a triangle but Nunes defends it easily.
The Sith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nunes is aware though and is defending well. Nunes stands up and waves to The Sith to follow him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nunes with a poor takedown and The Sith counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Sith is breathing heavily. Nunes is trying to get back to full guard. The Sith seems to be looking for submissions.

The Sith wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nunes, who protects the arm well. Nunes can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Sith is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nunes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The Sith wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nunes, who protects the arm well. The Sith is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nunes is trying to escape and The Sith transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nunes is forced to tap! Nice work there by The Sith! Very nice indeed!

He's pushed Canto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Canto looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Canto in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Canto wants to control from the top but Kazuma keeps moving. Canto pushing down on Kazuma's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Canto not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gresham changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zeke looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Zeke's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gresham in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Gresham thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gresham is working to tighten is grip on Zeke's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Zeke has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gresham is really squeezing tight and eventually Zeke passes out! Gresham breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tuo tries for a takedown but Napalm sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. No luck for Tuo with that takedown attempt. Pat Tuo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tuo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takimoto gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Takimoto walks into a straight right hand from Kawai. Kawai lands with a nice body punch. Kawai shoots for a double leg takedown but Takimoto sprawls well. He's pushed Kawai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kawai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takimoto was well out of range. Poor timing from Kawai. Kawai misses with a wild combination.
