Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, JP Alcano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kamaneto Funaki! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Funaki avoids the head kick by Alcano.
Funaki slips a jab and a cross from Alcano.
Funaki shoots in looking for a takedown but Alcano manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Funaki's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Alcano throws a right and a left that Funaki avoids nicely. Alcano stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Alcano throws out a powerful jab. Funaki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. JP Alcano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alcano misses with a few strikes there.

Alcano gets tackled into the cage by Funaki. Funaki maintains the clinch. Funaki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alcano is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Alcano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Funaki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alcano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Funaki trying to control the action but Alcano is working from the bottom. Alcano tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ground and pound from Funaki seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Funaki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Funaki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alcano keeps working.

Funaki is looking to take a break and control but Alcano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Alcano sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Funaki slips a jab from Alcano. Funaki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alcano.

Alcano fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Funaki looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Funaki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Alcano connects with a single shot there.

"Ole!" shouts Alcano as he jumps to the side. Alcano throws a nice inside leg kick. Funaki wants to clinch. Alcano connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Alcano rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Funaki moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Alcano is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Funaki looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alcano is fending him off so far but Funaki persists. Nope, Alcano circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick misses from Alcano. JP Alcano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Alcano lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Funaki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Alcano uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Funaki has time to react. Funaki shoots in for a double leg but Alcano sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Decent striking displayed by Alcano there. Kamaneto Funaki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Funaki avoids a punch combination nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! JP Alcano showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Alcano, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Henrique Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Laboy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laboy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It's Amazing by Kanye West kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lindberg on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Lice gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dengel throwing strikes but missing. Dengel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lice can do anything to dispel that myth. Dengel with a flurry of punches that miss. Dengel trying to control the position from guard on top but Lice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dengel throws and elbow that misses. Lice uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dengel's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dengel tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Lice avoids it. A left hand lands to the body for Lice.

Lice lands a leg kick that knocks Dengel off balance momentarily. Dengel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Lice misses the shot to the body. Lice darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Dengel fails in his attempt to clinch. Lice moves into range and connects with a jab. Lice circles away from the clinch attempt and Lice counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Dengel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lice as he avoids it easily. Lice keeps the fight on the outside.
Lice gets caught flat footed, as Dengel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Dengel wants to control from the top but Lice keeps moving. Lice wants to sweep here but Dengel controlling him for the moment. Dengel connects with a couple of short punches. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lice avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Bimbo Lice comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lice has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Pizarro moves into range and clinches up with Zola. A right hand to the body from Pizarro.
Zola pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pizarro connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Zola's hands. Zola throws a hook but Pizarro avoids it easily.
Pizarro closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pizarro taking a breather here. Pizarro is looking to take a break and control but Zola is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zero misses with a low kick. Zero throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
