Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and aoki Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that aoki Li was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, aoki Li! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves tries to clinch but Li moves out of range. Li takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Alves tries to clinch up but Li circles away and keeps his distance. Li with a poor takedown and Alves counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Alves lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like aoki Li has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alves fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Li looks gassed! A punch lands to the side of Li 's head but he takes it in his stride. Li shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alves pinned against the cage. Alves gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Li has a takedown stuffed. Mauricio Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of aoki Li. Alves doesn't manage to clinch there - Li circles away.
Li takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Alves connects with a body shot that sends Li's belly button to the back. Alves scores with a jab. Li acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Alves lands a jab to Li's midsection. Alves lands a jab to the nose. Li has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Alves finds it's way round the side to connect with Li's head. Alves lands a jab to Li's midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves punishes Li's body with a nice straight punch. Alves lands a nice hook to Li's body. Li takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Li walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Alves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Li paws at him with a jab and circles away. Li misses with a right hand and Alves counters with a stiff right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Li takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nice shot by Alves. Alves throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Li's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Alves dives in looking to finish as Li flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Alves's strikes! Alves is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Li's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Li was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! karl wants to clinch but Kajiwara slips to the side and karl takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. karl closes the distance looking to clinch letting Kajiwara counter with a right hand. Kajiwara swings for the body but karl moves out of range.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kajiwara has a takedown stuffed. karl tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kajiwara decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in karl's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kajiwara postures up in karl's guard and throws a big left but karl blocks it. karl is wriggling around but Kajiwara manages to pass to half guard.
Kajiwara wants to take a breather but karl is having none of it. karl wants to get back to his feet. karl blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kajiwara. karl pushes Kajiwara off and gets back to his feet. Kajiwara closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kajiwara pulls karl into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kajiwara wants to finish this one by submission but karl is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kajiwara. Kajiwara stands up from mount. Strange move. karl moves to clinch but Kajiwara breaks away and Kajiwara counters with a nice low kick that buckles karl's knee momentarily. Kajiwara throws a nice inside leg kick. amoussou karl is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. karl tries to clinch up and Kajiwara counters with a nice double leg into side control. karl won't be happy with that. Kajiwara stands up and we're back to a striking position. Kajiwara pushes karl up against the cage in a clinch. Kajiwara keeps the fight in the clinch, despite karl's efforts to push away. karl pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kajiwara drives through with a takedown into guard. Kajiwara sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed karl's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. He has the arm isolated but karl is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kajiwara tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kajiwara has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kajiwara has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kajiwara in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kajiwara lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kajiwara throws a quick inside leg kick. Kajiwara fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and karl has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Satoshi Kajiwara showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kajiwara feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. karl wants to stand up but Kajiwara is controlling him. Kajiwara advances position into side control! Kajiwara landing strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Satoshi Kajiwara comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kajiwara has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nover tries to clinch up and LoamHedge counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. LoamHedge closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nover quickly recovers to half guard. LoamHedge looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. LoamHedge is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nover defends it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Zolloo LoamHedge just wasn't active enough. LoamHedge gets the takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zolloo LoamHedge dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
LoamHedge closes the distance and clinches up with Nover, looking for a takedown. LoamHedge pushes Nover against the cage but Nover circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nover fails to land with a series of punches.
Nover with a lazy takedown attempt and LoamHedge counters with a nice double leg into half guard. LoamHedge lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. LoamHedge stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Nover misses with a takedown attempt and LoamHedge counters with a nice double leg into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! LoamHedge stays in close to Nover's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. LoamHedge throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nover works some decent striking defense from the bottom. LoamHedge is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zolloo LoamHedge. The fight stays on the outside here - Nover looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. LoamHedge throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nover was covering up waiting for the punch and LoamHedge finishes the takedown easily into guard. Nover is working an open guard so LoamHedge takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nover throws a combination but it was largely blocked by LoamHedge. LoamHedge closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. LoamHedge lands some shots froms side control. LoamHedge thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. LoamHedge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nover keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nover being controlled for a moment. LoamHedge decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nover to his feet. Nover swinging wildly here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zolloo LoamHedge dominated that second round. That's time! LoamHedge's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Nover counters with a three punch combo that has LoamHedge backing up. LoamHedge nods at Nover to acknowledge the strikes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from LoamHedge. LoamHedge bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nover is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. LoamHedge taking a breather here. LoamHedge wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nover, who protects the arm well. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. LoamHedge has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Nover is looking to regain half guard here but LoamHedge keeps moving and retains side control. Nover managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by LoamHedge.
That's three minutes gone in the round. LoamHedge is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nover has escaped the position, nice work there. LoamHedge is putting a hurting on Nover here, landing some big shots from side control. LoamHedge postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
You can see the frustration on Nover's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nover can do anything to dispel that myth. LoamHedge lands a decent elbow from side control. LoamHedge is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nover can do to turn this around? Nover is trying to get back to his feet. Phillipe Nover has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Zolloo LoamHedge is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. LoamHedge moves into full mount! LoamHedge looking to isolate an arm here. Nover doesn't see it coming and as LoamHedge extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by LoamHedge!

Summers with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Summers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Summers tries a head kick but it misses.
Summers gets off balance looking for a body kick letting Horvat counter with a right hand. Summers chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Horvat fails to land the takedown. Summers scores with a spinning back kick! Horvat is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Summers plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Scott Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Summers fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Horvat has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Crunch! Summers slams his shin into Horvat's torso. Horvat takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Summers thumps Horvat with a low kick. Summers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A head kick lands from Summers that sends Horvat to the canvas. Horvat tries to scramble back to his feet but Summers brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Ivan Horvat has been cut. Summers has an Americana. Horvat didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Summers is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Summers hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
