The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tommy Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gracie. That did some damage!
Jones feints and then cracks Gracie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gracie down.
Jones lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Jones.
Jones lands a head kick. Gracie smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jones connects with a crisp jab.

Jones lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gracie at a distance.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jones - that will leave a mark!
Jones scores with a nice body kick.

Jones lands a big head kick that sends Gracie tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Gracie back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Gracie drops his hands for a split second and Jones immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Gracie face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Jones follows up with a right hand that knocks Gracie into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tommy Jones! Tommy Jones retains his light heavyweight title!
