CJ Dewing overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dewing has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Staton's face.

Long looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Long closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mutumba is looking to regain half guard here but Long keeps moving and retains side control. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Stenemo controls the action. Newton controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Stenemo just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Stenemo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Despite being in the dominant position, Kim Stenemo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stenemo shoots in looking for a takedown. Newton tries to sprawl out of it but Stenemo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Newton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Newton scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Davis Wayne Newton will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bane had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata.
