Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaimana Ladera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Ochoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladera's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Otherside Red hot chili peppers. Carlos Ochoa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Ochoa! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ladera tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ochoa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ladera somewhat. Ochoa tries to score with a low kick but Ladera moves his leg out of the way. Nice jab there from Ochoa. Ochoa changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ochoa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ladera takes a shot right to the bread basket. Ladera scores a takedown into full mount! Ochoa wants to try and get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ladera looking to control and managing it successfully. Ladera has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ochoa wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ladera sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ladera jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ochoa manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kaimana Ladera will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ladera throws a big shot that misses. Ladera fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ladera takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ochoa closes the distance and clinches. Ochoa tries to break free but Ladera pushes him back against the cage. Ochoa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kaimana Ladera is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ochoa gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ochoa is looking to break free of the clinch but Ladera has double underhooks. Ochoa digs a right hand into Ladera's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ladera's gas tank. Ladera tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ladera keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ochoa's efforts to push away. Ochoa slows down the pace here.

Ochoa ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ochoa lands a nice hook to Ladera's body. Ladera takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ochoa moves into the clinch. Ochoa wants to break the clinch but can't.

Ochoa cracks a nice hook into Ladera's ribs. Ladera takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Carlos Ochoa seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ochoa drives through and clinches with Ladera against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ochoa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ochoa digs a good hook to Ladera's body.
Ochoa closes the distance and clinches. Ochoa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ladera takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ochoa stuns Ladera with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ochoa lands a nice shot that snaps Ladera's head back.

That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ochoa moves into the clinch successfully.

Oh Ladera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A short right from Ochoa on the inside. Ochoa gets through Ladera's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Ochoa breaks from the clinch.
Ladera gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Ochoa points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ladera wakes up just in time to hear Ochoa thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Musashi ! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Musashi on the wrong end of a nice jab. Musashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Forg moves away. Musashi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Musashi loads up on a big right hand but Forg slips the punch. Musashi slips under a jab from Forg. Musashi clobbers Forg with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Gejza Forg has been cut. Forg thows a left - swing and a miss! Forg lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Musashi takes one on the button. Forg scores with a body shot.
Forg walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Musashi checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Forg keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Forg listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Musashi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Forg scores with a crisp jab that stopped Musashi in his tracks. Musashi thows a left - swing and a miss! Forg jabs Musashi right on the nose. Musashi blinks but takes it well. No joy there for Musashi , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Musashi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Forg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Musashi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Forg. Forg misses with a body punch
and Musashi counters with a stiff right hand. Musashi slips under a jab from Forg. Musashi swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Forg counter with a right hand. Forg throws the kick towards the body but Musashi avoids it. Forg slips under a jab. Forg lands a lovely overhand right. Forg batters Musashi with a massive right followed by a huge left! Musashi is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Forg lands a final crushing right hand to drop Musashi to the mat with a gruesome thud! Forg is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that DJ Stenner was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stenner fails with the takedown and Caldeira counters with a straight right hand. Caldeira shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Caldeira was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Caldeira is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Stenner has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Caldeira with a couple of short strikes. A nice elbow there by Caldeira. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Caldeira takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
