The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blacksmith has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kidd.
Kidd throws a body punch but Blacksmith moves out of range.
Kidd fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blacksmith.
Blacksmith walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kidd.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters circle momentarily. Blacksmith darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kidd shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Blacksmith as he avoids it easily.
Kidd throws a push kick but Blacksmith slaps the foot to one side.
Kidd shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blacksmith pinned against the cage. Blacksmith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kidd uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blacksmith.
Blacksmith misses the jab.
Blacksmith looks to throw the jab but Kidd is out of range.
Kidd uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blacksmith.

Kidd gets a takedown into half guard.

Kidd stands up out of the half guard.
Blacksmith is breathing heavily.

Kidd connects with a body shot that sends Blacksmith's belly button to the back.
Blacksmith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Blacksmith looks to land a right hand but Kidd moved out of range.
Blacksmith getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kidd wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kidd is defended easily by Blacksmith.

Blacksmith looks to land a left hand but Kidd moved out of range nicely.

Kidd uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blacksmith.
Kidd misses with a takedown attempt - Blacksmith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kidd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blacksmith's waist but Blacksmith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kidd off to one side.

Kidd looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Blacksmith controlling the position well.

Kidd prevents Blacksmith from improving his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blacksmith lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Kidd is rocked!
Kidd switches off momentarily and Blacksmith cracks him with a monster right hand! Kidd topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Blacksmith dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Blacksmith!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zero shoots in and bounces Dave off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Zero wants to control from the top but Dave keeps moving.
Zero trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Zero is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Zero controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Zero seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dave for as long as he can get away with.
Zero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dave swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dave tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dave keeping moving, preventing Zero from controlling successfully.
Zero passes Dave's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Zero works his way into side control.

Zero is working to tighten is grip on Dave's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dave has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Zero is really squeezing tight and eventually Dave passes out! Zero breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
