Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yre closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Yre works his way into side control. Yre content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Yre stands up and we're back to a striking position. Lopez is breathing heavily. Yre dives in and grabs Lopez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lopez pushes down on Yre's head and hops out. Lopez moves into range and clinches up with Yre. Yre drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lopez pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lopez fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yre swats away the attempt to clinch by Lopez. Lopez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Lopez wants to sweep here but Yre controlling him for the moment. Yre looking to pass the guard. Yre showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Yre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lopez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yre is pushing down on Lopez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lopez is fighting to maintain full guard but Yre has managed to sneak the leg through. Yre is thwarting Lopez's attempts to control the position. Lopez is not content to let Yre control the position. Lopez is trying to stand up here but Yre is controlling him well. Yre trying to control the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. I looks like Yre might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Vamp Yre hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Yre scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lopez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Lopez is letting Yre control him for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yre decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yre throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lopez wants to clinch and Yre counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Yre closes the distance and clinches. Yre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lopez gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jorge Lopez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yre clinches up against the cage. Lopez has Yre pressed against the cage, preventing Yre from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Lopez is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Yre is defending well for now. Yre gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lopez.

Lopez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yre is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lopez to the mat. Lopez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Yre decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lopez, up you get! Lopez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lopez throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Yre swats away the attempt to clinch by Lopez. Yre shoots in and bounces Lopez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Lopez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Lopez with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Yre decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Yre doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lopez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Lopez stops a takedown attempt from Yre.

Yre shoots in looking for a takedown but Lopez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Yre's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Yre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lopez defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lopez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voltz looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Voltz is looking to work some ground and pound but Novotny has wrist control. Novotny working for a triangle but Voltz defends it easily.
Voltz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Voltz stands and throws Novotny's legs to the side, diving into side control. Voltz landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
