The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones moves into the clinch.
Calloway jumps guard but Jones stands there with Calloway around his waist. Calloway gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones can't break the clinch.
Jones scores with a nice hook to the head.
Jones tries to circle away but Calloway has him pinned against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Calloway's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Calloway jumps guard but Jones stands there with Calloway around his waist. Calloway gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Calloway tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Calloway drops back down to his feet.

Jones is trying to trip Calloway. He has hold of a leg but Calloway is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Calloway is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.
Calloway is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jones wants to control from the top but Calloway keeps moving.

Calloway had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.

Jones lying in Calloway's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Calloway decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Jones taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rex Munroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Urquidez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rex Munroe had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Devin Urquidez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Munroe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Portage prevents Mickles from breaking the clinch.
Portage's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

It looks like Justin Portage has been cut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mickles creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Portage is rocked!
Mickles dips a shoulder and cracks Portage with a mighty uppercut! Portage falls back against the cage and Mickles unloads with a barrage of strikes! Portage is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Mickles screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Hernandez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jackson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hernandez has managed to get both his arms back between Jackson's legs - danger averted.
Hernandez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is trying to improve his position.

An elbow from Hernandez crashes against the mat.
Hernandez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jackson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The ground and pound from Hernandez seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hernandez is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hernandez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hernandez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Angelo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ueda is holding on here and Angelo must be using up a lot of energy. Ueda has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Angelo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
