 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Srichaphan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Srichaphan missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Srichaphan trying to pass the guard but De Giorgi defending well. De Giorgi is trying to maintain the position but Srichaphan is very close to passing his half guard. Srichaphan sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. De Giorgi defending well though. De Giorgi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Srichaphan connects with a nice short shot to De Giorgi's temple. Srichaphan content to control rather than advance. Srichaphan is keen to just control but De Giorgi is a slippery customer.
 That's one minute gone in the round. De Giorgi tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Srichaphan throws a strike but De Giorgi avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Srichaphan throws a strike but De Giorgi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Srichaphan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Giorgi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. De Giorgi trying to control the position from guard on top but Srichaphan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Srichaphan is working an open guard so De Giorgi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Srichaphan tries to close the distance and clinch up but De Giorgi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Srichaphan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as De Giorgi sprawls well. De Giorgi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Srichaphan gets slowly back to his feet.
Srichaphan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. De Giorgi is trying to defend but Srichaphan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. De Giorgi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Srichaphan wants to control from the top but De Giorgi keeps moving. De Giorgi controls Srichaphan momentarily but Srichaphan frees himself. Srichaphan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. De Giorgi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Srichaphan. Srichaphan trying to control but De Giorgi is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Srichaphan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! De Giorgi trying to strike off his back.
Srichaphan stands and steps away. De Giorgi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. De Giorgi darts in trying to clinch
and Srichaphan counters with a takedown into side control. Srichaphan wants to control but De Giorgi is keeping him busy. Srichaphan throws an elbow but De Giorgi slips to the side and avoids it well. De Giorgi taking punishment in the form of punches.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Srichaphan seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. De Giorgi parries the strikes from Srichaphan easily there. Srichaphan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable De Giorgi to escape.
De Giorgi is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Srichaphan off and has taken his back! Srichaphan staying busy and making it hard for De Giorgi to control. Srichaphan trying to get back to his feet but De Giorgi is in full control for now. De Giorgi throwing sloppy strikes.
Srichaphan is trying to defend against the choke here but De Giorgi has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. De Giorgi Tightens the hold and Srichaphan taps out furiously! De Giorgi displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ludwig's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Temple connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ludwig scrambles back to his feet. Temple lands a jab to Ludwig's midsection. Ludwig misses with a hook. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Temple moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Ludwig swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ludwig misses with a wild body shot. Nice body punch from Temple. Temple throws a series of strikes that have Ludwig backpedaling.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Mill lands a nice uppercut. Brandford blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Brandford tries for a takedown but Mill manages to get underhooks.

and Mill counters with a head kick that drops Brandford! Mill passes Brandford's right leg, so he's now in half guard. John Stuart Mill has got the better of the ground game so far. Brandford controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Brandford knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mill on the ground. Mill keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Mill wants to pass to mount but Brandford is defending the position. Mill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brandford keeps working.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Mill passes to full mount! Mill sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. RIck Brandford has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Let's hope that Mill has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz lands a really nice looking cross but Gimenez seems unphased.
Gimenez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diaz paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gimenez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gimenez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Diaz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diaz lands in his opponent's guard. Diaz wants to pass the guard but Gimenez is keeping the position.
