Garris thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Howard to regain full guard. Howard utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Garris throws and elbow that misses. Howard uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Garris's guard. Nice move by Howard! He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rex Garris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Howard fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Garris to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Garris looks to clinch but Howard throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Garris taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Mousasi shoots in looking for a takedown but Lawal manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mousasi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mousasi shoots for a takedown but Lawal saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gegard Mousasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mousasi wants to clinch. Mousasi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lawal doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Mousasi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nihilist dances in with a quick combination. Faber is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Nihilist snaps Faber's head back. Faber stumbles backwards against the ropes. Nihilist steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Faber's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Faber just didn't come prepared.

15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Nick Shamrock! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yakisoba feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Shamrock's calf. Yakisoba takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Shamrock throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yakisoba sees it coming and avoids it easily. Yakisoba ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Shamrock uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yakisoba. Yakisoba takes a swing at Shamrock's ribcage but misses. Yakisoba circles away from the clinch attempt.

Yakisoba looks to score with a jab to the body but Shamrock is just out of range. A jab from Shamrock does it's job there. Shamrock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shamrock closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Yakisoba quickly recovers to half guard. Yakisoba avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Shamrock. Yakisoba tries to roll over but Shamrock keeps him under control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Shamrock trying to pass the guard but Yakisoba defending well. Yakisoba is trying to stand back up but Shamrock is controlling him

That's one minute gone in the round. Yakisoba is looking to control Shamrock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yakisoba avoid being mounted? The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Shamrock passes the guard and advances to mount! Shamrock throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Yakisoba because Shamrock loaded up on that one. Yakisoba is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Shamrock locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Yakisoba is forced to tap!
