And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joo Chan Bang. Well Combos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Nikolai wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Nikolai shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nikolai is trying hard to land a takedown here. Loco sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Loco connects with a high kick. Loco slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Loco leaves Nikolai with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crester closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ko did well to prevent Crester getting side control. Ko is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Crester scores with a couple of nice shots. Crester content to control rather than advance. Ko is looking to escape. Crester works his way into side control. Ko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crester. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Crester working the body and head with strikes. Crester looks up at the clock and then as Ko takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Crester smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Crester has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crester landing strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ko takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Ko on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A lull in the action here as Crester stalls from top position. Crester lands some shots froms side control.

Crester is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Crester lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. Crester is putting a hurting on Ko here, landing some big shots from side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knox stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knox wants it to stay on the feet. Akira is looking to clinch. Akira leaves Knox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Knox swats away the attempt to clinch by Akira. Knox throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Akira tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Knox is in Akira's guard. Knox throws a strike but Akira rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Knox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Knox is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Knox is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Knox wants to sweep here but Akira controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Akira wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knox keeps working. Akira goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Knox has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Akira but great work by Knox. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knox sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Akira is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Knox wants to control from the top but Akira keeps moving. Knox lands a couple of elbows. Knox trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Knox works over Akira with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Knox thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Knox lands a couple of elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Davey Knox dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Akira looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Horrible takedown by Knox or perhaps it was just good defense by Akira which made him look bad. Knox shoots for a takedown but Akira saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Knox lands a huge takedown. Akira is out but the ref is slow to react and Knox lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Akira lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Samurai seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kroblur does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Samurai is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
