The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koloff lands a nice hook to Helmsley's body. Helmsley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Koloff lands a right hook to the body.
Koloff throws a right and a left that Helmsley avoids nicely. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Koloff!
It looks like Hunter Hearst Helmsley has been cut. A shot to the liver by Koloff. Beautiful body shot. Helmsley fails with the takedown. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Koloff goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Helmsley throws a head kick but Koloff moves out of range.
Helmsley is breathing heavily. Helmsley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Koloff defends it nicely. Left hook, right uppercut from Koloff. Koloff has closed the distance and engaged Helmsley in a clinch.
Koloff's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Koloff breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Koloff stuns Helmsley with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Koloff lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Koloff Rushes Helmsley and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Helmsley is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Koloff Piles on the pressure and Helmsley crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Struve misses with a takedown attempt and Henning counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Struve's guard now. Struve looking for a sweep. Not yet Struve, not yet. Struve being controlled here, momentarily. Henning makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Henning stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Struve swivels though and keeps the full guard. Struve is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Henning wanted to stand there but Struve had control of the position. Henning wants to pass the guard but Struve is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henning stands up from guard. Let's bang! Henning closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Struve is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Henning lands a nice forearm strike. Struve tries to bench press Henning off him but Henning keeps the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Henning controls the position. Struve is trying to control Henning's posture but Henning avoids it. Henning tries to stand but Struve is controlling his head. Struve pushes Henning away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Henning gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Struve is trying to improve his position. Henning tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Struve manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Struve is trying to control but can't.
Henning content to control rather than advance. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Struve is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Henning's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Henning's back! Henning knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Struve on the ground.

Struve misses with an elbow to the head. Struve throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Struve struggling to land strikes to the head as Henning covers up. Struve throwing wild punches that miss their target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Struve avoiding Henning 's attempts to control his hands. Henning covering up well under a series of strikes from Struve. Struve sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Henning taps out!
