Kaapa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Burdon is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kaapa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Burdon's back instead.
Burdon is trying to get back to his feet but Kaapa has full control of the position and if anything, Burdon has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jannety goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Jannety fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Maximus, pushing him back against the cage.

Jannety breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Maximus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jannety tries to bum rush Maximus with a series of wild strikes but Maximus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Maximus closes the distance and clinches up with Jannety , looking for a takedown. Maximus pushes Jannety against the cage but Jannety circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maximus shoots in but Jannety avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jannety throws a right hand that Maximus ducks under and follows up with a left that Maximus also avoids with ease.

Maximus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lima has hold of Marx's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Marx tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lima cranks the arm and Marx screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Marx, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
