The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouffe throws a shot from downtown. Louis moves away and avoids it.

Louis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Louis looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Plouffe is avoiding damage well.

Louis wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Plouffe, who protects the arm well.
Louis throws an elbow but Plouffe slips to the side and avoids it well.

Louis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looks like Andre Plouffe has been cut.

Louis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Louis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lomax throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Jones lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like River Lomax has been cut.
Lomax needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.
Jones checks a leg kick nicely.

Jones throws a right hand that Lomax ducks under and follows up with a left that Lomax also avoids with ease.

and Jones counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lomax! Jones lets Lomax back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Lomax flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Lomax is out cold! Jones holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
