Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vince Angus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Droop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Droop! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angus throws the left hand but Droop avoids the punch easily. Angus gets a clinch. Angus has had enough of the clinch but Droop keeps him there for the moment. Angus misses with the head strike.
Angus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Droop walks away with a smile on his face. Angus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Droop misses with a double jab
and Angus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Droop throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Vince Angus has been cut. A looping hook to the body misses from Angus. Droop does a little dance to reset his feet. Angus connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Droop moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Droop lands with a kick to the temple. Angus shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Angus is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Droop. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Droop goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Droop wants to clinch and Angus counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Angus working hard to break the clinch. Angus tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Droop smiles and moves away.
Droop is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Droop pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Angus back to the cage. Droop follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
That's one minute gone in the round. Droop slips under a jab from Angus. Droop defending well as Angus loads up on a big left hand. Droop throws a right hand that misses
and Angus counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Droop keeps control of Angus as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Angus wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Droop throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Anguss head. Droop keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Angus's efforts to push away. Angus is trying to force a seperation but Droop has the dominant position. Angus wants to break the clinch but can't.
A frustrated look appears on Angus's face as he tries to break the clinch. Angus's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Droop comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Vince Angus's cut is getting worse. Angus working hard to break the clinch. Droop softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Angus tries to break free but Droop pushes him back against the cage. Droop slows down the pace here.
Droop lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Angus. Angus takes a shot to the head. Droop lands a right hand that snaps the head of Angus backwards.

Alves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Irene looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Alves grinds an elbow into Irene's temple. Irene tries to buck Alves off but Alves is having none of it. Alves cracks Irene with an elbow. That is naaassty. Irene struggling a bit here. Alves is looking to take a break and control but Irene is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Irene regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alves seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Irene does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Alves performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Alves passes the guard and advances to mount! Irene wants to hold on but Alves pushes him away.

Piper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Chaowanungkarn throws a low kick, looking for Piper's leg but Piper calmly moves out of range. Chaowanungkarn wants to clinch and Piper counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Chaowanungkarn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Lyons lands with a right hand. A swing and a miss from Lyons. Bear takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Lyons connects with a crisp jab. Lyons fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bear looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A lazy left from Lyons finds it's target. Lyons scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Lyons misses the body punch and Bear counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lyons looks to clinch so Bear counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Powerhouse swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tots is now in Powerhouse's guard. A big mistake from Powerhouse there, giving up the dominant position!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping leg kick lands for Blight.

Blight misses with a left hand and Greene counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Blight throws a left and a right that both miss

and Greene counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Blight wants to clinch up but Greene keeps it at a distance. Blight tries to clinch up but Greene circles away and keeps his distance. Greene tries to advance to mount but Blight denies him.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Greene wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blight keeps working. Blight ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Blight lands a jab. Luca Blight is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A low kick from Greene is predictable there and Blight counters with a slapping leg kick. Blight lands a jab to Greene's midsection. Blight tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Blight fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. This has been an exciting period of action! Greene blocks a low kick nicely. Greene lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Blight lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blight ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Greene moves away. Greene has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Blight. Blight wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luca Blight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Blight does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Blight throws a series of punches but Greene avoids them all with ease. Blight misses with a head kick.
Blight tries to land a front kick but Greene steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A big left from Greene misses. Blight misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greene throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Greene on the wrong end of a nice hook. Greene decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Greene looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Greene thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blight's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Greene missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Greene throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Greene is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

and Styles cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Goins throws out a loose jab but Styles uses good head movement to avoid it. Styles tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Goins was well out of range. Poor timing from Styles. Goins loads up on a big right hand but Styles slips the punch. Goins checks a leg kick. Goins cracks the inside of Styles's front leg. Goins smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Goins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Styles as he avoids it easily. Goins throws a combination that misses and Styles makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
