The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jasta wants to slow Reed down by chopping away at his legs.
Jasta pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jasta throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Reed moves out of range as Jasta throws a body kick.
Jasta lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Reed tries to keep at a distance but Jasta has taken the fight into the clinch.

Jamey Jasta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jasta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reed.
Reed lands with a right hand.
Reed moves out of range of the leg kick from Jasta.
Jasta pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Reed closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jasta did well to prevent Reed getting side control.
Reed takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Reed wants to control from the top but Jasta keeps moving.

Reed wants to stand but Jasta has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Reed manages to get his head free but now Jasta has transitioned to an armbar! Reed grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Jasta! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
