8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samoa Joe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Louis Freese! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Freese finds it's way round the side to connect with Joe's head. Joe shoots for a double leg takedown but Freese sprawls well. He's pushed Joe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Freese staying out of range there. Samoa Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab by Freese.
 It looks like Samoa Joe has been cut. Joe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Freese. Nice defenses there by Freese. Joe shoots for a double leg takedown but Freese sprawls well. He's pushed Joe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Joe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Freese circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samoa Joe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Joe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Freese avoids it really well and circles away. Freese punishes Joe's body with a nice straight punch. Joe throws a right hand that misses
and Freese counters with a straight right hand. Freese throws a right hand that Joe ducks under and follows up with a left that Joe also avoids with ease. No luck for Joe with that takedown attempt. The fighters circling - Joe throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Joe wants to clinch up but Freese keeps it at a distance. Freese throws a right and a left that both miss.
Joe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Freese pushes a forearm under Joe's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Joe is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson cracks a nice hook into Engl's ribs. Anderson throws a right and a left that both miss. Zak Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Engl's guard. Engl keeping full guard, as Anderson tries to pass. Anderson controls from within his opponent's guard. Anderson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Engl is keeping the position for now. Anderson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. I looks like Anderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
 Zak Anderson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Anderson shoots in and drives through. Engl sprawls well. Anderson misses with a combination
and Engl decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Anderson's guard. Engl is fighting to break Anderson's control of his arms but Anderson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Engl can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Engl wants to stand but Anderson is controlling his posture from full guard. Anderson controlling Engl's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson keeping moving, preventing Engl from controlling successfully.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Engl has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Anderson is proving hard to escape from. Anderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Engl is one step ahead there.
Anderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Engl has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Engl stopping the sweep attempt from Anderson. Anderson tries to strike from the bottom.
Anderson is adopting a defensive guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Let's hope that Anderson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Anderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Engl rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Anderson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Anderson. Anderson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Engl preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Anderson thows a big elbow that misses. Engl working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Anderson. Anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Engl has wrist control. Engl knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground. Engl is breathing heavily. Anderson cracks Engl with a solid left hand. Anderson landing with the ground and pound. Anderson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Engl utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Anderson throwing strikes but missing. Anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Engl has wrist control. Anderson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Anderson lands a couple of decent looking shots. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anderson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Anderson landing some decent shots from guard. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Engl enables Anderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Engl manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Engl utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Anderson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Anderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Engl to the mat! Engl manages to get full guard. Anderson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Anderson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Engl some visible discomfort.
Engl on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Zak Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far. This has been an exciting period of action!
Anderson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Engl has escaped the position, nice work there. Anderson landing a few strikes. Engl is being controlled here. Anderson in side control lands a decent elbow. Anderson slows the pace down.

Nygma works Sorbit's body with a nice hook. Sorbit takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Nygma fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sorbit on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Sorbit with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nygma to score with a decent uppercut. Nygma lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sorbit backs up against the cage.

Oh that's hurt Sorbit! He's out on his feet! Nygma rushes in and drops Sorbit with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

jai white got a little sloppy there for a moment and Westhaven has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, jai white has managed to get both his arms back between Westhaven's legs - danger averted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Westhaven keeping moving, preventing jai white from controlling successfully.

Vince Westhaven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of micheal jai white. Westhaven throws a half hearted mid kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Westhaven.
Westhaven fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with jai white, pushing him back against the cage. Westhaven has jai white pushed against the cage.

Westhaven doesn't succeed with the takedown and jai white counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Westhaven is breathing heavily. jai white looks for the body kick but Westhaven saw that one coming. jai white changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Westhaven tries to avoid it but jai white manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Westhaven to the ground. Westhaven escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Buckknuckle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Skoro is aware though and is defending well.
Buckknuckle has his foot on Skoro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Skoro works his way back into a safe position though. Skoro pushes down on Buckknuckle's leg and manages to get into half guard. Buckknuckle is pressing down on Skoro's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Buckknuckle wants to sweep here but Skoro controlling him for the moment.
Skoro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Skoro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Buckknuckle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Skoro drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Buckknuckle dives on top into guard. Skoro working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Buckknuckle.
Skoro looking for a guillotine here but Buckknuckle defends easily.

Skoro has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Buckknuckle should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Skoro has tightened it up now! Buckknuckle should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Perry trying to control but Engbloom is working from the bottom.
Engbloom has his foot on Perry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perry works his way back into a safe position though.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xander Ryan! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and William Peck.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grillz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ryan looks for a takedown but Grillz sprawls well. Ryan shoots and misses and Grillz counters with a straight right hand. Ryan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grillz scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Grillz lands with a nice body punch. Grillz leaves Ryan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jason Grillz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xander Ryan. Grillz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ryan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Grillz stuffs the takedown. Ryan looks gassed! Jab, jab by Grillz - just one landing. Ryan takes a kick to the side of the head. Grillz cracks Ryan with an open hand slap. Ryan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Grillz. Grillz obviously looking to wear him down.
Grillz scores with a jab. Ryan acknowledges it with a nod of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grillz lands a nice shot to the body.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan is looking to clinch. Grillz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ryan eats them both and turns towards Grillz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. A nice leg kick lands there from Grillz. Grillz keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Grillz lands a head shot. Jason Grillz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grillz is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Grillz throws a good cross that connects.
 Ryan is rocked! Grillz lands with an uppercut that bounces Ryan off the cage and back into rage. Ryan is still on wobbly legs! Can Grillz finish him? Grillz scores with a nice strike. Ryan is trying desperately to land a takedown but Grillz is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ryan. Ryan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Grillz drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Ryan right on the button. Ryan goes down! Grillz follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Grillz gets the win via TKO!
