0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Larry Wasson! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wasson misses with the combination.
Wasson gets a clinch. Wasson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. St Pierre changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wasson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Good leg kick by Wasson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
St Pierre changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wasson tries to avoid it but St Pierre manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wasson to the ground. Wasson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Pierre will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice inside leg kick there by Wasson. That's going to slow St Pierre down. Matt St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wasson stands up and beckons St Pierre to his feet. St Pierre shoots and misses and Wasson counters with a takedown into side control. St Pierre is looking for a sweep. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morbid closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Morbid really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Morbid managing to block the knees to the body from Will.

Will has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Morbid is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Will. Will looks gassed! Will is trying to control Morbid's posture but Morbid avoids it.

Head wants to get back to his feet but Pluto drags him back down. Pluto stands up. Pluto throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Pluto throws a push kick but Head slaps the foot to one side. Head changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pluto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pluto gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Head is standing up, even though he is in mount. Head throws a series of strikes that have Pluto backpedaling.
Pluto is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Head connects with a stiff jab that staggers Pluto - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Bean tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sheas paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bean looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Danga de danga de dang - Bean scores with a four punch combination! Sheas doesn't manage to clinch there - Bean circles away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harper shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Harper fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Harper tries for a takedown but Ojanen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Harper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ojanen swinging wilding here.
Ojanen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Harper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ojanen's waist but Ojanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Harper off to one side. Harper shoots for a takedown but Ojanen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ojanen stuffs the takedown. Harper takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Harper misses with a takedown attempt - Ojanen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Harper is breathing heavily. Ojanen darts in and clinches Harper up against the cage. Harper is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Ojanen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ojanen pinned against the cage. Ojanen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ojanen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Harper takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Nope, Davis circles away and we're back to standing. Davis misses with a takedown and Yangov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Davis's guard now. Yangov trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. Davis wants to stand and escape but Yangov is having none of it. Yangov pushing down on Davis's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Yangov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yangov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Davis! Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yangov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Davis is looking to get to half guard. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Yangov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Davis is staying active underneath Yangov, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth. Davis gets back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Davis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Yangov to the mat! Yangov manages to get full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis wants to get up but he can't break Yangov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Davis postures up in Yangov's guard and throws a big left but Yangov blocks it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Yangov is on top in guard.
Yangov passes into half guard. Yangov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Davis defend it? Yangov steps over the head and cranks it - Davis is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Yangov!
