2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dustin Chestnut! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommi Sihoven! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chestnut moves into the clinch. Chestnut jumps guard and drags Sihoven to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Chestnut wants to sweep but no luck. Sihoven wants to pass the guard but Chestnut is keeping the position. Sihoven drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sihoven jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chestnut seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Chestnut is trying to keep Sihoven in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chestnut closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Sihoven wants to control from the top but Chestnut keeps moving. Chestnut looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sihoven is looking for a sweep. Chestnut stands up and we're back to a striking position. Chestnut lands a right hook to the body.
Chestnut shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Chestnut is in the full mount, landing strikes. Chestnut can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sihoven is looking to escape.

Chestnut is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sihoven is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sihoven tries to land a sweep but no joy. Chestnut slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Sihoven is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Chestnut content to stall in guard here. Sihoven has his foot on Chestnut's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chestnut works his way back into a safe position though.

Sihoven escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chestnut gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sihoven isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Chestnut stacks Sihoven on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Chestnut! Chestnut tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chestnut has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sihoven can't do much from the bottom here. The referee asks Chestnut politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Chestnut prefers to stall for the moment though. Dustin Chestnut overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sihoven takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Chestnut is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sihoven will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Chestnut is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sihoven has escaped the position, nice work there. Chestnut works to advance to full mount. Sihoven defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Sihoven is trying to reverse the position but instead Chestnut has taken his back - oops! Oooh a big shot gets through from Chestnut. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
I really don't envy Sihoven right now.

Sihoven has his hands clasped together but Chestnut extends an breaks Sihoven's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Chestnut.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nahasapim dodges the punch combination from Nugget.
Nugget moves away from the strike by Nahasapim. Nahasapim throws a hook but Nugget avoids it easily. Nahasapim misses with a hook. Nugget misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nahasapim cracks Nugget with a good jab.
It looks like Ted Nugget has been cut. Nugget looks gassed! Nugget throws a right and a left that Nahasapim avoids nicely. Nugget moves out of range of the strikes. Nahasapim misses with an uppercut. Nugget saw that one coming. Nahasapim throws a hook but Nugget avoids it easily. A jab from Nahasapim misses. Nahasapim is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Nugget flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Nugget is out cold! Nahasapim holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wright throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nice combo by John J! Oh, that's hurt him - Wright falls to the canvas and John J follows him into side control.
Wright is rocked! Wright manages to get back to half guard. Wright is still in real trouble! Can John J finish him? Wright regains full guard. Nicely done. Wright doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
John J wanted to stand there but Wright had control of the position. Wright has his feet on John J's thighs here. He's pushed John J off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! John J screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Nice takedown defense from Sundin. No joy for Dee Virus on that attempt. Dee Virus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sundin has managed to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sundin cracks Dee Virus with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Dee Virus from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perusjatka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Perusjatka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Child working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Perusjatka doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perusjatka manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Perusjatka tries to stand but Child is controlling from the bottom. Child might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Perusjatka keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Child's head. Perusjatka wants to stand but Child is controlling his posture from full guard. Perusjatka loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Child is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Perusjatka can do anything to dispel that myth. Child prevents Perusjatka from improving his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Child misses with a takedown attempt and Perusjatka counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Excellent takedown into side control there by Child. Child landing strikes.

Child is looking to take a break and control but Perusjatka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Child works to advance to full mount. Perusjatka defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Child trying to control but he's not successful this time. Child is standing up, even though he is in mount. Child with a poor takedown and Perusjatka counters with a takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Perusjatka connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Child some visible discomfort.
Child is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Perusjatka is controlling him well. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Perusjatka lands an elbow. Perusjatka working the body and head with strikes. Child could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Child is looking for a sweep. Child gets back to half guard. Perusjatka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Child. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Child wants to improve his position but Perusjatka is controlling well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! T drops Dee Virus with a nice combination! T dives into Dee Virus's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Cyrus Dee Virus has been cut. T decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dee Virus, up you get! Dee Virus is still on wobbly legs! Can T finish him? T has a takedown stuffed. T drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dee Virus is looking to stand up but T isn't so interested in that idea. Dee Virus seems to have recovered his senses. Dee Virus pushes T off and scrambles back to his feet.
Mr T seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. T shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Dee Virus looks gassed! The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dee Virus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
