Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Boulet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes to the cage accompanied by All Summer Long. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonathan Boulet! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boulet shoots for a takedown but Steel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boulet slips a jab and a cross from Steel.
Steel scores with a leg kick.
Boulet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steel tries to avoid it but Boulet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steel to the ground. Steel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Steel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Boulet wants to get back to full guard. Steel is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Steel wants to free his trapped foot but Boulet is holding on for dear life with his legs. Boulet gets back to full guard.
Boulet tries to land a sweep but no joy. Steel wants to control from the top but Boulet keeps moving. Boulet throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Steel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Boulet shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Thiago Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Boulet. Boulet looks gassed! Steel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Steel tries to clinch but Boulet is having none of it. Steel looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Boulet! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel working for a submission but Boulet is keeping him at bay. Boulet tries to reverse the position but Steel maintains control. Boulet wants to control but Steel is having none of it. Steel content just to control the position here. Steel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Boulet is looking to escape. BOOM! Steel connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Boulet is trying desperately to improve position. Boulet looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Boulet defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Steel's arms. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Boulet is defending well though. Steel let's go of the attempt for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Boulet trying to control the action but Steel just sinks the hooks in. Steel keeps control of the position as Boulet tries to break free.
Boulet manages to reverse the position and now he's in Steel's guard. Nice work there by Boulet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steel looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Boulet won't allow Steel to get back to his feet. Boulet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steel swivels though and keeps the full guard. Steel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Boulet! Boulet sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boulet works his way to full guard. Good work. Boulet is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Boulet wants to sweep but no luck. Boulet had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Steel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Boulet Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Steel's back instead. Boulet is working the ground and pound. Can Steel escape? Boulet is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Steel taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Boulet.

Meyer has chosen The Renegade by Styx as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jacob Meyer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khomeini keeps the fight on the outside. Meyer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Meyer shoots in for a takedown but Khomeini shows good takedown defense. Meyer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Meyer keeping moving, preventing Khomeini from controlling successfully. Khomeini stops Meyer from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Khomeini drops back looking for a leg! Meyer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Meyer manages to kick Khomeini off! Khomeini jumps back into Meyer's guard. Khomeini has gone for a leg lock! Meyer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Khomeini's guard. Meyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khomeini is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Meyer rolls with it to try and escape but Khomeini cranks on the arm and Meyer is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Link throws a head kick but Isaacson moves out of range.

Nice sprawl there from Link as Isaacson shoots in. A head kick misses from Link. Isaacson clinches up against the cage. Nice body punch from Isaacson. Link wants to break the clinch but can't.
Isaacson has Link pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Isaacson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Link tumbling to the mat - Isaacson dives into Link's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Isaacson stays in close to Link's body and controls the position. Isaacson is working Link over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Isaacson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Isaacson forces his way into half guard. Isaacson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Isaacson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. I looks like Isaacson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Isaacson passes to side control. Isaacson controlling the position from side mount. Isaacson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Link, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Isaacson lands a nice forearm strike. Link tries to escape but Isaacson is in control. Isaacson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Link! Link can't escape the position.
Link is working hard here to advance position. Isaacson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Link can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Isaacson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. BOOM! Isaacson connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Link takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Link in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Isaacson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Link is rocked! Isaacson controlling from the full mount. Oh Link is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Isaacson lands with some strikes. Link tries to buck Isaacson off but Isaacson takes his back! Link seems to have got his legs back now. Good control from Isaacson. Isaacson cracks Link with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Link from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Isaacson slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kula throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around MacLeod's waist but MacLeod gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kula off to one side. An inside leg kick from MacLeod misses. Kula fails to land the takedown. Kula circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kula blocks a jab. Kula has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kalle Kula. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch combination from Kula misses. Kula could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kula closes the distance and clinches up with MacLeod, looking for a takedown. Kula pushes MacLeod against the cage but MacLeod circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kula shoots in and drives through. MacLeod sprawls well. MacLeod swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kula. No luck for Kula with that takedown attempt. Kula is breathing heavily. MacLeod takes the fight into the clinch. MacLeod scores with a shoulder strike. MacLeod lands a nice uppercut. MacLeod lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kula or not. MacLeod has Kula pushed against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from MacLeod. MacLeod breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kula is rocked! No luck for Kula with that takedown attempt. Oh Kula is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! MacLeod is looking to clinch but Kula is avoiding it.
Kula seems to have got his legs back now. MacLeod connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Kula tumbling to the canvas! MacLeod pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Kula was done - good stoppage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price tries to clinch but Wilson is having none of it. The fight stays on the outside here - Price looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Price is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wilson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wilson won't allow Price to get back to his feet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Price is on top in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson keeps the fight on the outside. Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Johnson looking to pass the guard. Moore looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there. Johnson passes Moore's left leg - he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson wants to work for an arm triangle but Moore is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
