The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brighamovic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Heijdens, pushing him back against the cage. Brighamovic has Heijdens pressed against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Brighamovic fails to land. Brighamovic takes an elbow to the forehead. Brighamovic wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Heijdens has him pressed against the cage. Brighamovic misses with some punches.
Brighamovic prevents the takedown attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A lazy left from Vasara finds it's target. Vasara throws a right and a left that both miss. McFist tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vasara swivels and escapes. Nice shot lands for Vasara. Vasara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McFist moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Vasara tries to bum rush McFist with a series of wild strikes but McFist uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Vasara scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

McFist misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. McFist changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vasara tries to avoid it but McFist manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vasara to the ground. Vasara escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That was a close round but I would say that Tony McFist will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schaub shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Plant changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schaub tries to avoid it but Plant manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schaub to the ground. Schaub escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Schaub swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Schaub pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Schaub throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Schaub scores with a takedown into Plant's guard. Schaub is working Plant over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Schaub wanted to stand there but Plant had control of the position. Plant working a defensive guard here.
Plant might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Schaub kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Plant throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Schaub escapes and throws Plant's legs to the side, diving into side control! Schaub stands up and beckons Plant to his feet. Plant checks the leg kick nicely there.

Plant scores a takedown into full mount! Plant prevents Schaub from getting the reversal. Plant looking to control but Schaub is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Schaub is trying to escape the mount.
Plant stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Plant shoots and misses and Schaub counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Plant! Schaub is breathing heavily. Schaub controlling his opponent. Plant is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Plant gets back to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Schaub stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Schaub wants to clinch up but Plant keeps it at a distance.

Schaub bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Schaub working away. Schaub tries to move into full mount but can't pass Plant's legs. Plant is trying to get back to half guard. Schaub has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Schaub throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Schaub will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A big left from Schaub misses. Plant gets a takedown into half guard. Plant trying to control the action but Schaub is working from the bottom. Schaub is trying to get back to full guard. Plant is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Schaub kicks Plant off and gets back to his feet. Plant fails with the takedown and Schaub counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Plant is lucky that one didn't land flush. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schaub prevents Plant from getting back to his feet. Plant controls Schaub momentarily but Schaub frees himself. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Schaub stays in close to Plant's body and controls the position. Plant has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Schaub off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Plant with a poor takedown and Schaub counters by clinching up. Schaub is pressed up against the cage. Plant has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Schaub down to the mat. Schaub avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Plant ducks under a wild hook from Schaub. Plant looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schaub is fending him off so far but Plant persists. Nope, Schaub circles away and we're back to standing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Plant with a lazy takedown attempt and Schaub counters with a good, hard body kick but Plant shrugs it off. Plant shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Schaub but Schaub pushes him off and we're back to square one. Schaub is looking to land body kicks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Schaub dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Schaub decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Schaub is thwarting Plant's attempts to control the position. Schaub stands up from half guard. Plant wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Plant regains half guard. Schaub seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Schaub escapes and gets back to his feet. Plant doesn't succeed with the takedown and Schaub counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Plant! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This has been an exciting period of action! Plant is trying desperately to improve position. Plant is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Plant wants to control but Schaub is having none of it. The referee warns Plant that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
