The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moorer throws a leg kick but Hathaway sees it coming and moves out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Hathaway checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Moorer jabs Hathaway right on the nose. Hathaway blinks but takes it well.

Hathaway drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hathaway loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Moorer throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hathaway uses it to pass to side control.

Hathaway wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Moorer, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hathaway tries to score with some ground and pound. Moorer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Hathaway tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hathaway has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Moorer wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Hathaway seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Moorer is tapping! Wow, great finish!
