Heartman jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McMillion is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McMillion and Heartman has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Heartman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McMillion knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
McMillion is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Heartman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Heartman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jurgel has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
No joy there for Verdi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jurgel cracks Verdi with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jurgel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Verdi counters with a three punch combo that has Jurgel backing up. Jurgel nods at Verdi to acknowledge the strikes.

Verdi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jurgel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Verdi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Reed drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reed jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kozyar has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Kozyar is squeezing on Knight like an anaconda would it's prey. Knight fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stanley but Stanley pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Stanley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stanley stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.

Smith is keen to just control but Stanley is a slippery customer.
