0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kennith Hester! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hester avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hester keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cox looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hester! Hester can't escape the position.
Cox throws some wild stikes that Hester manages to avoid easily.
Cox controlling from mount. Hester bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Cox looking for a guillotine here but Hester defends easily.
Hester tries to stand but Cox is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hester won't allow Cox to sweep him here. Hester would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Cox working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hester doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Cox is tightening it up a little... Hester has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hester reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hester taps out! nice BJJ there by Cox!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black fails with an attempt to clinch.
Blood looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Black misses with a few strikes there.
Black throws a nice looking combination but Blood bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Blood scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Black avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Blood. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blood with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Blood has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Blood looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Black pushes Blood off looking to stand but Blood dives back in and keeps control.
Black wants to stand back up but Blood manages to pass into side control.

Black is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Blood has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Blood takes a little break here. Black wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Black wants to get back to his feet. Black is breathing heavily. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Blood misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Blood staying calm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. cage is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Black.
I looks like Blood might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Pure Blood just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice takedown defense from Black. No joy for Blood on that attempt. Black will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Blood is looking to clinch but Black is avoiding it.
Blood takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Black tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Blood counters with a single leg into guard. Black didn't expect that. Blood slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Blood just content to control the position. Blood is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Black has escaped the position, nice work there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Black is not content to let Blood control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pure Blood dominated that round. That's time! Black's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Blood changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Black looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Pure Blood has got the better of the ground game so far.

Blood trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Blood with a flurry of punches that miss. Black wants to get back to his feet but Blood is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Blood pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Black is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blood throws a strike but Black rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Blood manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Blood looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blood with a couple of short strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pure Blood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Blood is stalling in the full guard. Blood passes Black's left leg - he's now in half guard. Blood works his way into full mount! Blood controlling the position easily from mount. Blood has control of Black's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Black regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Black really wants to buck Blood off and get back to his feet. Blood controlling his opponent. Black avoids a series of strikes thrown by Blood.
Black is squirming around, avoiding Blood's attempts to control the action. Ozzy Black has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Blood controlling the position easily from mount. Blood thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that's the end of the fight! Pure Blood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Blood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Cuervo feints and as Bungay raises his hands in defense, Cuervo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cuervo wants to pass the guard but Bungay is keeping the position. Cuervo working some strikes from top position.
It looks like Merv Bungay has been cut. Bungay looking for a sweep. Not yet Bungay, not yet. Cuervo stops Bungay from standing up. Cuervo wants to pass the guard but Bungay is keeping the position. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Horrible takedown by Cuervo or perhaps it was just good defense by Bungay which made him look bad. Cuervo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. That was a close round but I would say that Shea Cuervo will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Cuervo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bungay finds it's way round the side to connect with Cuervo's head. Oh Cuervo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Merv Bungay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bungay connects with a nice cross there... Cuervo is looking wobbly and Bungay recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Cuervo to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bungay jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smith wants to take a breather but Redding is having none of it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gizzel checks a leg kick. Gizzel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Resolve has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gizzel turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gizzel manages to end up in side control. Resolve is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Resolve struggling a bit here. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Resolve defending against the ground and pound. Gizzel controlling from side mount. Gizzel seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Resolve for as long as he can get away with.
