The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Janevret looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Janevret rushes Sims and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Janevret with a knee to the head.
Janevret gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sims.
Sims has hold of one of Janevret's legs. Janevret is fighting the takedown attempt but Sims gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Janevret not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Balboa throws a series of punches but sanchez moves out of range. sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Balboa, looking for a takedown. sanchez pushes Balboa against the cage but Balboa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Balboa gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. sanchez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. sanchez works a leg free and moves into half guard. sanchez has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. sanchez with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Tate is fighting it off but World persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tate's guard against the cage. Tate looking for a sweep. Not yet Tate, not yet. Tate is trying to control the position but World postures up. Tate wants to stand but World is controlling the position. Tate bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in World's guard. World looking to sweep here. No luck so far. World is working an open guard so Tate takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Tate is looking to land body kicks. Tate takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
