Common comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ghost by Tupac kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tupac Common! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Palmer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Common is looking to clinch but Palmer is avoiding it.
Common tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Palmer swivels and escapes. Common closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Common lands in his opponent's guard. Common trying to stand up but can't free himself from Palmer's guard. Palmer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Common trying to control the position from guard on top but Palmer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Common stands up from guard. Let's bang! Horrible takedown by Common or perhaps it was just good defense by Palmer which made him look bad. Common will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice takedown defense from Palmer. No joy for Common on that attempt. Jerry Palmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tupac Common. Common tries for a takedown but Palmer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Palmer closes the distance and clinches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Common loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Common trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Common throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Common trying to control but Palmer is working from the bottom. Common works a leg free and moves into half guard. Common moves nicely into side control. You can see the frustration on Palmer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Palmer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Palmer wants to get back to full guard. Palmer pushes Common off looking to stand but Common dives back in and keeps control.
Palmer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Common drops an elbow to the side of Palmer's head.

Common lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Palmer has a closed guard, preventing Common from standing up. Common landing with the ground and pound. Common keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Palmer's head. Common has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Palmer missing with punches from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Common shoots in for a takedown but Palmer shows good takedown defense. Common fails with the takedown. Palmer connects with a high kick. Common shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Palmer pinned against the cage. Palmer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The fight stays on the outside here - Palmer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tupac Common dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Common shoots in for a double leg but Palmer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Palmer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Common looking for a takedown. Common changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Palmer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jerry Palmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tupac Common. Common scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Palmer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Common keeps working. Katsuo Fujikage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fujikage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Everett clinches with his opponent.

This has been an exciting period of action! Everett stands up and we're back to a striking position. Everett blocks a head kick by Fujikage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corn Fed Beef takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Silva tries to clinch up but Corn Fed Beef circles away and keeps his distance. Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Corn Fed Beef fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Corn Fed Beef persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Silva manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Corn Fed Beef has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Corn Fed Beef is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Corn Fed Beef to sleep! This one is all over!

That last one sent Washington tumbling to the canvas! JOYCE pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Washington was done - good stoppage!

Paining postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fox bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paining's guard. Paining pulls Fox in close to prevent any damage. Paining wants to sweep here but Fox controlling him for the moment. Fox trying to control the position from guard on top but Paining is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fox tries to free his leg and advance position but Paining is retaining full guard. Fox must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fox should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Fox postures up.
