Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brute Force! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Charlie Hustle! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hustle will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Force moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hustle misses with a series of wild punches.
Hustle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hustle lands with a shot to the body. Force wants to clinch. Hustle throws a looping overhand right but Force ducks down to avoid it. Hustle throws a lazy right hand but Force sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Force takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Hustle throws a left and a right that both miss
and Force decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hustle's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Force stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hustle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hustle pulls Force in close to prevent any damage. Force preventing the sweep. Hustle has Force pulled in close to control his posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hustle looking to control.
Hustle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Force is one step ahead there. Hustle keeping busy on the bottom but Force has passed one foot through into half guard.
Force is keen to just control but Hustle is a slippery customer. Hustle wants to improve his position but Force is controlling well.
Hustle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Force. Hustle is trying to stand back up but Force is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hustle is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hustle dodges the punch combination from Force.
Hustle keeps the fight on the outside. Hustle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Force moves out of range as Hustle strikes. Force misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Force moves into the clinch. Hustle wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hustle wants to get back to striking at distance but Force won't allow it.
Force manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hustle showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Force will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hustle landing a few strikes. Hustle taking a breather here. Force prevents Hustle from improving position. Force is letting Hustle control him for a moment. Hustle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Force keeps working. Force is looking to regain half guard here but Hustle keeps moving and retains side control. Force is breathing heavily. Hustle controlling the position from side mount. Hustle trying to control the action but Force is working from the bottom.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hustle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Force is working away from the top position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hustle is positioning himself well to prevent Force advancing to mount. Hustle is staying active underneath Force, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hustle is trying to maintain the position but Force is very close to passing his half guard. Hustle is controlling Force's position as best he can from this difficult position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brute Force will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Force shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hustle as he avoids it easily. Hustle throws a lazy right hand but Force sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The fighters circling - Hustle throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hustle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Force but Force pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hustle looks to land a right hand but Force moved out of range. Force clinches. Hustle works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Force tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hustle smiles and moves away.
Force looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hustle is fending him off so far but Force persists. Nope, Hustle circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brute Force. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hustle digs a good hook to Force's body.
Hustle throws a head kick but Force moves out of range.
Hustle moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hustle goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hustle connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Hustle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Force, pushing him back against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hustle manages to break the clinch.
Hustle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Force moves away. Force slips a straight right by Hustle. Horrible takedown by Force or perhaps it was just good defense by Hustle which made him look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick by Hustle misses and Force counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Force trying to control from half guard but Hustle is working away. Force stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hustle to get to his feet. Hustle takes a body punch but keeps moving. Charlie Hustle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Force fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hustle sprawls well initially but Force persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Force wants to pass the guard but Hustle is defending well. Force is tying to control. Hustle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hustle is controlling Force's trapped leg to prevent Force from advancing to side control. Hustle is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hustle wants to control but Force passes into side.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hustle has control of an arm but Force manages to advance to Force's back! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Force controlling the position well here. Hustle rolled but Force kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
You can see the frustration on Hustle's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Force doesn't have the hooks in and Hustle manages to turn into his guard.
Hustle wants to control from the top but Force keeps moving. Hustle tries to free his leg and advance position but Force is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hustle throws and elbow that misses. Force uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hustle's guard. Nice move by Force! Brute Force overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hustle looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Force trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hustle is controlling Force's posture. Hustle keeping moving, preventing Force from controlling successfully. Hustle will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Force scores with a takedown into Hustle's guard. Hustle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Force is one step ahead there. Hustle trying to control the position.
Hustle tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hustle controls Force momentarily but Force frees himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hustle is trying to hold Force in close to prevent damage but Force has managed to pass into half guard.

Brute Force dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Force passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hustle! Force swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hustle is now in Force's guard. A big mistake from Force there, giving up the dominant position! Force has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hustle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hustle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Force throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hustle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hustle looking to sit in guard and control but Force gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hustle tries to land a sweep but no joy. Force being controlled here momentarily. Hustle is trying to keep Force in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hustle stuffs the takedown attempt from Force. Force gets slowly back to his feet. Force showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hustle.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Force gets the takedown into side control. Hustle is not content to let Force control the position. Force is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hustle's shoulder. That is not cool. Force scores with a couple of short elbows. You can see the frustration on Hustle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Force landing a few strikes. Force is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Force trying to control the action but Hustle is working from the bottom. Charlie Hustle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The referee stands the fighters back up. Brute Force just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Force lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Hustle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Brute Force showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Force, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fiialkov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kilimov. Kilimov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
