0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eli Ramadan! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mortis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ramadan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ramadan dodges the punch combination from Mortis.
Danga de danga de dang - Mortis scores with a four punch combination! Ramadan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ramadan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mortis is looking for a sweep. Ramadan stands up and beckons Mortis to his feet. Ramadan takes a body punch but keeps moving. Mortis clinches with his opponent.
Ramadan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mortis just stands there and leans against the cage. Mortis is working for takedown but Ramadan is calmly controlling the position for now. Mortis avoiding damage.
Ramadan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mortis manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mortis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mortis showed some decent athleticism there. Mortis wants to control but Ramadan is keeping him busy. Ramadan tries to roll over but Mortis keeps him under control. Ramadan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mortis scores with a couple of nice shots. Mortis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ramadan keeps working. Mortis blocks the strikes from Ramadan.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Ramadan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Mortis looking for a kimura from the bottom but Ramadan passes into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramadan tries to advance to mount but can't. Ramadan throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Mortis looks to move to half guard but instead Ramadan has passed into mount! Damn! Mortis can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramadan punching from mount but Mortis doing a good job of avoiding damage. Ramadan stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Mortis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Mortis throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Mortis tries a head kick but it misses.
Ramadan moves out of range of the strikes. Mortis lands with an uppercut that bounces Ramadan off the cage and back into rage. Mortis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mortis moves into the clinch. Mortis drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ramadan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ramadan with a poor takedown and Mortis counters with a head kick. Rigor Mortis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Ramadan. Ramadan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mortis tries to avoid it but Ramadan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mortis to the ground. Mortis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mortis lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mortis. Mortis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ramadan. Ramadan circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Mortis throws a head kick that misses. Ramadan rushes Mortis and presses him up against the cage. Mortis is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Ramadan jumps into guard, dragging Mortis to the mat.
Mortis trying to control but Ramadan is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mortis looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mortis trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramadan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ramadan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ramadan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mortis is one step ahead there. Ramadan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mortis lands a jab to the head.
Mortis throws a right and a left that both miss. Ramadan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ramadan blocks a head kick by Mortis.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ramadan moves out of range as Mortis throws a body kick.
Mortis throws a right hand that Ramadan ducks under and follows up with a left that Ramadan also avoids with ease. Mortis misses with a head kick.

Mortis misses with a takedown and Ramadan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mortis throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ramadan escapes and throws Mortis's legs to the side, diving into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. I wouldn't like to be where Mortis is right now. Mortis regains half guard. Ramadan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mortis is looking for a sweep. Ramadan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ramadan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Ramadan is breathing heavily. Mortis trying to control here.
Ramadan wants to stand up but Mortis has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mortis slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ramadan throws a strike but Mortis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Mortis trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramadan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mortis is in close to Ramadan's body, working some short punches and elbows. Mortis scoring with punches to the head and body. Mortis forces his way into half guard. Ramadan tries to roll over but Mortis keeps him under control. Mortis not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ramadan is pressing down on Mortis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramadan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mortis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mortis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mortis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ramadan wants to stand and escape but Mortis is having none of it. Mortis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mortis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mortis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mortis is looking to work some ground and pound but Ramadan has wrist control. Mortis looking to pass the guard. Ramadan manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mortis ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Rigor Mortis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mortis throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramadan takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mortis lands with a slapping head kick. Ramadan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Mortis throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Ramadan stumbling backwards into the cage! Ramadan bounces back off the cage towards Mortis, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Mortis lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Mortis celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Tolrahc looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Williams scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Tolrahc is letting Williams control him for a moment. Williams lands some shots froms side control. Williams has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Tolrahc throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely. Williams feints and as Tolrahc raises his hands in defense, Williams changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Williams wants to pass the guard but Tolrahc is keeping the position. Williams cracks Tolrahc with a solid left hand.

He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Williams gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Williams apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Williams closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Williams takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Williams passes to full mount! Williams takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Williams is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tolrahc has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaskon looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jaskon throws and elbow that misses. Boykin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jaskon's guard. Nice move by Boykin! Jaskon looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Boykin puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Jaskon manages to escape and get back to his feet! Boykin shoots in for a takedown but Jaskon shows good takedown defense. Jaskon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Boykin tries to buck Jaskon off but he can't manage it. Boykin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jaskon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jaskon lands a big shot there that rocks Boykin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Urso swats him away and circles back towards the center. Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Urso tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nope, Clegane circles away and we're back to standing. Clegane throws a series of punches but Marko moves out of range. Clegane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Clegane throws a right and a left that both miss. Marko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clegane but Clegane pushes him off and we're back to square one. Clegane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice sprawl there from Clegane as Marko shoots in. Gregor Clegane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cain Marko. Clegane lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Marko is looking to close the distance but Clegane sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Marko crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Staal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Staal throws a lazy right hand but Malinkovikh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Staal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Malinkovikh wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Staal lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Staal in side control, throwing shots but Malinkovikh defends. Staal misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Staal is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Malinkovikh. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Staal is cranking Malinkovikh's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Malinkovikh! He's tightened the choke and Malinkovikh is tapping out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Springfield drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Springfield tries to keep at a distance but Steel has taken the fight into the clinch. Springfield turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Springfield manages to end up in side control. Springfield is working Steel over with some ground and pound from side control. Springfield misses with the ground and pound. Steel parries the strikes from Springfield easily there. Springfield is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Steel to escape.
Steel dodges the ground and pound from Springfield. Springfield throws an elbow but Steel slips to the side and avoids it well. Springfield is trying to ground and pound but Steel uses the momentary lack of control by Springfield to regain half guard. Springfield not landing any meaningful shots this time.
