The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from McGavin lands but Curacao takes it in his stride. McGavin scores with a head kick.
Curacao is rocked! McGavin lands a huge takedown. Curacao is out but the ref is slow to react and McGavin lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Curacao lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jorge shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Huhango as he jumps to the side. Jorge fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Huhango sprawls well initially but Jorge persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jorge is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jorge wants to pass the guard but Huhango is defending well. Jorge is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Huhango is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jorge is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Huhango is just riding it out for now. Jorge eventually gives up the hold. Huhango is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jorge wants to work for an arm triangle but Huhango is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jorge seems to be working for a kimura but Huhango defends the submission attempt. Jorge works his way into full mount! Huhango really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jorge. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Huhango flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huhango has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Jorge has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Huhango has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Huhango tests Jorge's chin there with a solid looking shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hannedy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alvarez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Alvarez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Alvarez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hannedy. Hannedy controlling the action here. Hannedy trying to control from half guard but Alvarez is working away. Hannedy is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Alvarez to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Hannedy prevents Alvarez from getting back to his feet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mitchell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reis's waist but Reis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mitchell off to one side. Reis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rodrigo Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reis tries to clinch up but Mitchell circles away and keeps his distance. Mitchell keeps the fight on the outside. Reis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reis throws a wild body kick that Mitchell sees coming a mile off. Mitchell avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Mitchell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Reis tries to kick Mitchell off but Mitchell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reis wants to improve his position but Mitchell is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mitchell throwing shots but Reis is blocking nicely. Reis is trying to control but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Reis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mitchell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Reis is looking for a triangle but Mitchell pushes his legs off easily.
Mitchell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Reis looks gassed! Mitchell drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Mitchell as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Reis screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Mitchell! Nice submission victory there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Muerte moves in looking to clinch but Punchenstein pushes him off. Doctor Punchenstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Punchenstein looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Muerte slips a jab and a cross from Punchenstein.

Punchenstein breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Punchenstein tries to bum rush Muerte with a series of wild strikes but Muerte uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Punchenstein throws a leg kick which misses Muerte's front leg but catches the back leg as Muerte tries to avoid it. Punchenstein swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Punchenstein throws a right hand that Muerte ducks under and follows up with a left that Muerte also avoids with ease. Muerte feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Muerte stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Punchenstein swivels though and keeps the full guard. Muerte works over Punchenstein with some ground and pound from guard. Muerte wants to control from the top but Punchenstein keeps moving. Punchenstein can't keep his opponent in guard - Muerte advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Punchenstein wants to control but Muerte is keeping busy and won't allow it. Muerte wants to take a breather but Punchenstein is having none of it. Muerte works his way into full mount! Muerte lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muerte is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Punchenstein has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Muerte has isolated one of Punchenstein's arms. Punchenstein looking to fight him off but Muerte twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Sirra breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sirra closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Couch tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sirra just stands there and leans against the cage. Sirra lands a shoulder strike. Couch tries to pull guard but Sirra won't allow it.
