The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haller stalks Skugog and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Skugog's face. Skugog staggers backwards, shaken.
Skugog is rocked! Haller gets a clinch. Skugog is still on wobbly legs! Can Haller finish him? Haller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Haller throws a pinpoint strike between Skugog's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Skugog crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Haller scores a great knockout victory!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phoenix stalks Scrappypants and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Scrappypants's face. Scrappypants staggers backwards, shaken. Phoenix jabbing away but nothing is landing. Phoenix throws a series of punches but Scrappypants moves out of range. A combination from Phoenix does no damage. Phoenix cracks Scrappypants with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Phoenix throws a sloppy head kick and Scrappypants moves out of range easily. Phoenix throws a combination. Scrappypants tries to block but a couple of punches get through. A cross from Phoenix lands. Phoenix misses with a wild body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scrappypants showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Phoenix.

Merlin Phoenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phoenix lands a nice leg kick that just misses Scrappypants's sensitive parts. That's three minutes gone in the round. Phoenix walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Scrappypants checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Some wild striking there from Phoenix.
Phoenix tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Phoenix lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scrappypants has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scrappypants and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Phoenix throws a leg kick which misses Scrappypants's front leg but catches the back leg as Scrappypants tries to avoid it. Phoenix lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Phoenix tries to close the distance and clinch up but Scrappypants swats him away and circles back towards the center. Phoenix misses the shot to the body. Phoenix throws a head kick but Scrappypants moves out of range.
Scrappypants drops his hands momentarily and Phoenix takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Phoenix tries to bum rush Scrappypants with a series of wild strikes but Scrappypants uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Phoenix pulls out of a head kick attempt.

And that's the end of the fight! Merlin Phoenix showed his dominance in that final round. Well Phoenix has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Castillo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sigmarsson tries to lock up and control but Castillo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sigmarsson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

He's got his arms around Castillo's waist but Castillo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sigmarsson off to one side. Castillo tries to close the distance and clinch but Sigmarsson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sigmarsson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Castillo counters with a nice double leg into guard. Randy Castillo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Sigmarsson. Sigmarsson trying to control the position here. Castillo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Castillo here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Sigmarsson goes for an armbar but Castillo turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Castillo. Castillo throws a big right hand that misses.

Horrible takedown by Castillo or perhaps it was just good defense by Sigmarsson which made him look bad. Sigmarsson stuffs the takedown attempt from Castillo. Castillo gets slowly back to his feet. Sigmarsson wants to clinch. Sigmarsson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Castillo. Castillo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Castillo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dule Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andreas Deathstar! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson throws a nice outside leg kick. Some wild striking there from Deathstar.
A big left from Peterson misses. Deathstar throws a low kick but it's checked well by Peterson. Peterson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Peterson. Deathstar throws a one two combo.
Peterson throws a head kick but Deathstar moves out of range.
Peterson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Deathstar tries to avoid it but Peterson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Deathstar to the ground. Deathstar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Deathstar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Deathstar fails in his attempt to clinch. Deathstar lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Peterson is breathing heavily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Peterson. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dule Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Deathstar misses with a two punch combination.
Deathstar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Peterson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Peterson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deathstar misses with a jab, cross combination.
Deathstar misses with a head kick.
Deathstar moves into the clinch successfully.
Deathstar is trying to maintain a safe position but Peterson gets an underhook and turns Deathstar into the cage. Deathstar lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Peterson backwards. Deathstar is looking to break free of the clinch but Peterson has double underhooks. Peterson pulls Deathstar into guard.
Deathstar wants to control from the top but Peterson keeps moving. Deathstar forces his way into half guard. Deathstar wants to pass to mount but Peterson is defending the position. Peterson is defending against the submission attempts here by Deathstar.
Deathstar throwing shots but Peterson is blocking nicely. Deathstar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Peterson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Peterson taking some punishment here, with Deathstar in his half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Peterson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Peterson trying to hold on to Deathstar's head to control him but Deathstar postures up.
Deathstar is taking a breather. Peterson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Peterson controlling the position well. Deathstar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Peterson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Deathstar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Deathstar sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Peterson defending well though. Peterson trying to hold on to Deathstar's head to control him but Deathstar postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Deathstar throws a sloppy head kick and Peterson moves out of range easily. A punch combination from Deathstar misses. Peterson scores with a takedown into Deathstar's guard. Peterson controlling from the top position. Deathstar looking to control.
Deathstar wants to sweep but no luck. Peterson wants to control from the top but Deathstar keeps moving. Peterson landing with the ground and pound. Deathstar controls Peterson momentarily but Peterson frees himself. Peterson wants to pass the guard but Deathstar is keeping the position. Deathstar wants to stand up but Peterson is controlling him.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Peterson takes a kick to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Deathstar but Deathstar pushes him off and we're back to square one. Deathstar tries a head kick but it misses.
Peterson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Deathstar's guard. Deathstar is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Peterson rolls with it to try and escape but Deathstar cranks on the arm and Peterson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dundee tries to clinch up. Dundee tries to clinch but Jablowme is having none of it. Heywood Jablowme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dundee darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jablowme wants to get back to full guard but Dundee has mounted him! Jablowme is desperately trying to improve his position but Dundee has a good base and remains in mount. Dundee goes for an armbar but Jablowme turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jablowme. Dundee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jablowme doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jablowme manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jablowme stands and throws Dundee's legs to the side, diving into side control. You can see the frustration on Dundee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sloppy strikes there by Jablowme. Jablowme cracks Dundee with a big elbow. Jablowme tries to advance to mount but Dundee denies him. Dundee is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dundee is not content to let Jablowme control the position. Dundee is looking to improve his position.
Jablowme tries to pass to full mount but Dundee defends it. Jablowme wants to take a breather but Dundee is having none of it. Dundee blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jablowme.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dundee is looking to clinch but Jablowme is avoiding it.
Jablowme fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dundee, pushing him back against the cage. Jablowme breaks from the clinch.
Dundee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jablowme's guard. Dundee is breathing heavily. Jablowme trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Dundee stands up out of Jablowme's guard for a moment - Jablowme manages to land a nice upkick. Dundee won't allow Jablowme to get back to his feet. Dundee passes Jablowme's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jablowme pushes Dundee off looking to stand but Dundee dives back in and keeps control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jablowme works his way to full guard. Good work. Jablowme had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dundee is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jablowme Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dundee's back instead. Jablowme is not going to allow Dundee to sit and survive in this position. Jablowme lands an elbow to the side of the head. Jablowme scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Dundee is looking for a way out. Jablowme lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Dundee is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jablowme is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Oh Dundee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jablowme punches the canvas rather than the man. Jablowme throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. (x) Jablowme tightening his grip on Dundee, looking for the choke. Dundee avoids the strikes from Jablowme.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dundee covering up well under a series of strikes from Jablowme. Dundee covering up well and avoiding damage. (x) Jablowme patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Dundee seems to have got his legs back now. Jablowme is trying to stick to Dundee's back but Dundee is turning into Jablowme. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jablowme's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dundee. Dundee distracts Jablowme with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jablowme throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Dundee trying to control the position from guard on top but Jablowme is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dundee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jablowme is keeping the position for now. Jablowme is striking but Dundee is not phased and passes to half guard. Dundee is trying to control the action in half guard but Jablowme is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dundee works his foot free and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dundee has hold of Jablowme's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jablowme manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dundee get's back to his feet. Jablowme circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jablowme drives through and clinches with Dundee against the cage.
Dundee has clasped his hands together around Jablowme's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Dundee tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Jablowme struggling a bit here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dundee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Dundee goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jablowme rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dundee's guard! Nice work there by Jablowme! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Heywood Jablowme will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dundee closes the distance and clinches up with Jablowme, looking for a takedown. Dundee pushes Jablowme against the cage but Jablowme circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jablowme blocks a leg kick. Jablowme takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Dundee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dundee throws a half hearted mid kick. Dundee does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. An inside leg kick from Jablowme misses. Jablowme clinches with his opponent.
Dundee has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jablowme is trying to keep an underhook but Dundee manages to get the takedown into half guard. Dundee seems to be looking for submissions.
Dundee moves nicely into side control. Dundee trying to control the action but Jablowme is working from the bottom. Dundee has hold of Jablowme's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jablowme seems comfortable defending it but Dundee has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jablowme is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jablowme is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Dundee couldn't care less - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guzman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jerkwater is looking for a sweep. Jerkwater manages to work his way to half guard, despite Guzman's best efforts. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jerkwater tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Jerkwater controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Jerkwater tries to roll over but Guzman keeps him under control. Jerkwater gets full guard. Guzman trying to control the position from guard on top but Jerkwater is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jerkwater looking for a triangle here. Frio drives through and clinches with Sarcoma against the cage.
Sarcoma has Frio pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Frio manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Frio breaks from the clinch.
Frio stuffs the takedown attempt from Sarcoma. Sarcoma gets slowly back to his feet. Frio has taken the fight to the clinch.

Frio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sarcoma has gone for a leg lock! Frio slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sarcoma's guard. Sarcoma has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frio can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sarcoma can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Frio controls the pace. Sarcoma looking for a sweep. Not yet Sarcoma, not yet. Frio sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sarcoma looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frio is one step ahead there. Sarcoma is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sarcoma looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Frio passes into half guard.

Sarcoma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Let's hope that Frio has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frio wants to take a breather but Sarcoma is having none of it. Frio moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Sarcoma. Sarcoma is looking to reverse the position. Frio trying to control the action but Sarcoma is working from the bottom. Sarcoma is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sarcoma looks to move to half guard but instead Frio has passed into mount! Damn!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sarcoma is looking to improve his position but Frio isn't that keen on the idea. Frio controlling his opponent. Frio is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sarcoma can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sarcoma is trying desperately to improve position. Frio controlling the pace for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sarcoma is squirming around, avoiding Frio's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Frio dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sarcoma fails with a takedown attempt. Danga de danga de dang - Frio scores with a four punch combination! Nice defenses there by Sarcoma. Sarcoma has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Osteo Sarcoma is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Frio closes the distance and clinches. Frio lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Frio lands a takedown into guard.
Frio tries to free his leg and advance position but Sarcoma is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sarcoma has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Frio is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sarcoma. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sarcoma tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sarcoma takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Frio is looking to take a break and control but Sarcoma is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sarcoma is letting Frio control him for a moment. Frio tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Sarcoma manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Sarcoma wants to get back to full guard but Frio has mounted him! Frio trying to control but Sarcoma is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sarcoma is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sarcoma bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Frio keeping full guard, as Sarcoma tries to pass. Sarcoma passes into half guard. Sarcoma is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sarcoma is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sarcoma is working for a submission of some sort.
Sarcoma frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Frio has left one of his arms exposed and Sarcoma doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Frio screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
