The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Reilly keeps the fight on the outside. O Reilly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
O Reilly throws a series of punches but Hoy avoids them all with ease. O Reilly moves in looking to clinch but Hoy pushes him off. O Reilly shoots in looking for a takedown. Hoy tries to sprawl out of it but O Reilly keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hoy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. O Reilly fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hoy jabs at O Reilly's body. Hoy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hoy trying to control the pace. Hoy is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hoy has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can O Reilly defend it? Hoy steps over the head and cranks it - O Reilly is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hoy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oh, that's a big right hand from Potter and Dabest goes tumbling to the canvas! Potter follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Dabest is rocked! Dabest looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Potter works his foot free and advances to mount. Oh Dabest is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Potter working for a guillotine from mount but Dabest is in no mood to give up. Potter throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Dabest has his hands clasped together but Potter breaks the hold and Dabest is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Potter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Shaun. Shaun has knee on belly and moves into mount. Pauling is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pauling is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Shaun looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Shaun in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Shaun trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shaun prevents Pauling from getting the reversal. Pauling looks gassed! Shaun with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Pauling bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Shaun looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Shaun looks to score with a jab to the body but Pauling is just out of range. Pauling moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Shaun shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pauling but Pauling pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pauling fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shaun throws a sloppy head kick and Pauling moves out of range easily. Pauling keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shaun shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pauling pinned against the cage. Pauling gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Shaun. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shaun shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Shaun trying to control from half guard but Pauling is working away. Pauling is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Shaun pulls his head out easily. Shaun looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Pauling looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Shaun lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pauling tries to roll over but Shaun keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pauling wants to get back to full guard but Shaun has passed into side control. Shaun tries to control but Pauling wriggling away. Pauling is looking to get to half guard. Shaun manages to capitalize on a mistake by Pauling to take his back! Pauling wants to control his opponent's hands but Shaun gets his hands free. Pauling tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Pauling is working to get back to half guard.
Pauling wants to control but Shaun is having none of it. Shaun is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pauling is surviving well by controlling Shaun's body position as best he can.

Pauling pushes down on Shaun's leg and manages to get into half guard. Pauling stops Shaun from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaun makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shaun. Shaun will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Pauling is looking to advance position but Shaun has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Shaun looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Pauling keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shaun lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pauling hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Shaun dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Shaun wants to clinch. Shaun gets in close and instigates a clinch. Pauling throws a knee to the head but misses.

Pauling can't find room to land a body shot as Shaun controls the action.

Pauling feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pauling pushes down on Shaun's leg and manages to get into half guard. Pauling is working for a submission of some sort.
Shaun is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Pauling jumps into side control! Shaun is looking to regain half guard here but Pauling keeps moving and retains side control. Pauling thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Shaun struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pauling tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shaun is looking to regain half guard here but Pauling keeps moving and retains side control. Shaun is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pauling has just dragged him back down to the mat. Pauling stands up. Shaun shoots and misses and Pauling counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pauling. Pauling wants to control from the top but Shaun keeps moving. Pauling breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shaun moves into the clinch. Shaun has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pauling regains guard immediately. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shaun trying to control the position from guard on top but Pauling is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pauling is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Shaun tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pauling smiles and moves away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Pauling. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pauling pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Pauling throws a head kick but Shaun moves out of range.

Pauling throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pauling pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shaun doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pauling counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Shaun. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pauling wants to control but Shaun is keeping him busy. Pauling is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Pauling tries to pass the half guard into mount. Shaun knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Pauling performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Shaun won't allow Pauling to pass to mount. Pauling is looking for a kimura but Shaun is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pauling to get the leverage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Shaun throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pauling's waist but Pauling gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shaun off to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pauling closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shaun to the mat! Shaun manages to get full guard. Shaun looking to control.

Pauling uses his free foot to push down on Shaun's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shaun. Pauling working for a submission but Shaun is keeping him at bay. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Pauling. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Pauling looking to control but Shaun is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Shaun looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pauling is fending him off so far but Shaun persists. Nope, Pauling circles away and we're back to standing. Pauling looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A head kick by Pauling misses and Shaun counters with a three punch combo that has Pauling backing up. Pauling nods at Shaun to acknowledge the strikes. Shaun doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pauling counters with a straight right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Pauling comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pauling has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Koscheck ! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koscheck tries to bum rush Dresari with a series of wild strikes but Dresari uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Josh Koscheck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koscheck moves into range and clinches up with Dresari. Dresari tries a knee to the head but Koscheck blocks it.
Dresari misses with an elbow over the top. Dresari is trying to maintain a safe position but Koscheck gets an underhook and turns Dresari into the cage. Koscheck wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dresari has him pressed against the cage. Dresari looks to throw an elbow but misses. With the fighters up against the cage, Dresari throws an elbow but misses. Koscheck tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Dresari blocks an elbow strike. Koscheck tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dresari just stands there and leans against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dresari lands a knee to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Koscheck drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dresari pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jake Dresari has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Koscheck . Dresari tries a head kick but it misses.
Koscheck shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dresari but Dresari pushes him off and we're back to square one. No luck for Koscheck with that takedown attempt. Koscheck closes the distance and clinches up with Dresari, looking for a takedown. Koscheck pushes Dresari against the cage but Dresari circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Koscheck tries to clinch there but Dresari circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dresari throws a head kick that misses. Dresari throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Dresari stuffs the takedown attempt from Koscheck . Koscheck gets slowly back to his feet. Koscheck throws a lazy head kick and Dresari makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Dresari throws a head kick but Koscheck moves out of range.

Dresari throws a head kick that misses and Koscheck counters with a single leg into guard. Dresari didn't expect that. Koscheck working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dresari looking to hit a scissor sweep but Koscheck is one step ahead there. Koscheck is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dresari is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koscheck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dresari swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koscheck stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Dresari throws up his legs and catches Koscheck in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Koscheck tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Dresari! That came out of nowhere!

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ernesto Bonjasky! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Godraker tries to bum rush Bonjasky with a series of wild strikes but Bonjasky uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bonjasky bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A head kick misses from Bonjasky. Godraker tries to clinch there but Bonjasky circles away.
Bonjasky avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Godraker dodges the punch combination from Bonjasky.
Godraker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick by Godraker misses and Bonjasky counters with a thumping low kick. Godraker throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bonjasky counters with a lovely straight right hand! The fighters circling - Godraker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bonjasky lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Asmodeus Godraker has been cut. Godraker is breathing heavily. Godraker throws a lazy head kick and Bonjasky finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bonjasky throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Bonjasky fakes the leg kick and cracks Godraker in the body. Bonjasky throws a nice head kick!
Godraker is rocked! Bonjasky connects with a solid leg kick. Oh Godraker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Bonjasky feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Godraker's calf. Godraker seems to have got his legs back now. Godraker throws a hook but Bonjasky avoids it easily. Bonjasky throws a head kick that misses and Godraker counters with a low kick, right behind Bonjasky 's knee. Bonjasky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Godraker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Whack! Bonjasky lands a heavy head kick that drops Godraker. The ref tackles Bonjasky to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Godraker was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Ernesto Bonjasky! Ernesto Bonjasky is the new heavyweight champion!
