These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stringer fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Blau is out of range.
Nice defenses there by Blau.
Blau dodges the punch combination from Stringer.
Stringer cracks Blau with a big right hand and Blau goes down!

Stringer passes Blau's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Blau is still in real trouble! Can Stringer finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blau wants to take a breather but Stringer is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blau is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Stringer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blau is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stringer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blau's back instead.

Stringer is looking for a choke. Blau gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Blau manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Stringer lands with a big right hook that stumbles Blau - he's out on his feet here! Stringer follows up with another monster hook that separates Blau from consciousness! Blau falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Stringer stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Quik shoots for a double leg takedown but Lane sprawls well. He's pushed Quik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Quik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lane steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Quik. That one must have hurt.
Quik looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lane is fending him off so far but Quik persists. Nope, Lane circles away and we're back to standing.

Rourke holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
