1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luv Tko! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner forces Tko back against the cage and clinches. Tko scores with a shoulder strike. Turner fails to pull guard.
Tko lands a right hand. Turner changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tko fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tko tries to clinch up and Turner counters with a nice double leg into guard. Turner preventing the sweep. Turner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Turner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tko is looking to stand up but Turner isn't so interested in that idea. Turner stands and steps away. Tko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Tko tries to bum rush Turner with a series of wild strikes but Turner uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tko darts in trying to clinch and Turner counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tko wants to get back to his feet but Turner drags him back down. Turner misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Tko is trying to improve his position. Turner is staying tight to Tko's torso, preventing him from escaping. Turner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner has knee on belly and moves into mount. Turner prevents Tko from getting the reversal. Turner lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Tko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tko tries to hold on but Turner pushes him away. Tko is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Tko is desperately trying to improve his position but Turner has a good base and remains in mount. Tko looks gassed! Turner wants to control the pace but Tko is squirming around nicely. Turner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tko tries to reverse the position but Turner maintains control. Tko's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Turner misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Tko tries to hold on but Turner pushes him away. Poor strikes thrown by Turner there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Turner is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tko has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Turner trying to control but he's not successful this time. Turner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tko is surviving well by controlling Turner's body position as best he can. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tko tries to hold on but Turner pushes him away. Turner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Tko is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Turner locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Tko is forced to tap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook tries to clinch up but Quackenboss circles away and keeps his distance. Cook misses with the combination.
Cook closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cook lands in his opponent's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Quackenboss is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quackenboss has gone for a leg lock! Cook slips out almost immediately though and dives into Quackenboss's guard. Cook wants to control from the top but Quackenboss keeps moving. Cook might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cook stands up from guard. Let's bang! Cook moves in looking to clinch but Quackenboss pushes him off. Cook darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook is looking to advance position but Quackenboss won't allow it. Quackenboss moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Quackenboss looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Quackenboss is trying to keep Cook in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quackenboss is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quackenboss lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cook! Cook wants to hold on but Quackenboss pushes him away. Cook really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Cook tries to control Quackenboss's body but Quackenboss pushes him off. Cook squirms to his side and now Quackenboss has his back! Cook prevents Quackenboss from getting a body triangle. Cook wants to escape the position.
Cook is breathing heavily. Cook is covering up but some of the strikes from Quackenboss are getting through and doing damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quackenboss has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Cook has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Quackenboss is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Cook knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quackenboss on the ground. Cook can't escape the position.
Quackenboss is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Quackenboss trying to control momentarily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Quackenboss keeps control of the position as Cook tries to break free.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cook wants to control but Quackenboss is keeping busy.

Quackenboss takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Cook throws a nice looking combination but Quackenboss bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Cook shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Quackenboss throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Cook tries to stand but Quackenboss is controlling from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook wants to pass the guard but Quackenboss is keeping the position. Quackenboss preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cook throwing strikes but missing. Cook has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Quackenboss to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Cook is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Quackenboss pulls down on the head and he's put Cook to sleep! This one is all over!

Jakes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Messer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Messer throws a head kick but Jakes moves out of range.
Jakes avoids a kick to the body.
Messer throws a nice looking combination but Jakes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The fight moves into the clinch position. Messer could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jakes tries for a takedown but Messer manages to get underhooks.
Messer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jakes just stands there and leans against the cage. Messer lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jakes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jakes clinches up with Messer and pushes him back against the cage. Messer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Messer shoots and misses and Jakes counters with a stiff right hand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Messer throws a sloppy head kick and Jakes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Messer is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jakes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Messer is keeping the position for now. He's almost out here... but no, Jakes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Messer tries to buck Jakes off but Jakes is having none of it. Messer is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Jakes avoids the strikes from the bottom by Messer. Messer can't do much from the bottom here.

Jakes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Messer regains half guard there - taking advantage of Jakes's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Messer is trying to control but Jakes passes into side control!
Messer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Messer sneaks back into half guard. Messer is refusing to be controlled, as Jakes sits in half guard. Messer wants to get back to his feet.
Jakes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Messer wants to get back to full guard. Messer is trying to maintain the position but Jakes is very close to passing his half guard. Jim Jakes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

He pushes Messer off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Jakes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Messer circles away. Messer gets caught flat footed, as Jakes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Messer wriggles free and stands up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Messer scores with a punch to the head. Messer throws a right and a left that Jakes avoids nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Messer tries to close the distance and clinch but Jakes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nice sprawl there from Jakes as Messer shoots in. Jakes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Messer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wolfgang Messer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jakes throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Jakes trying to control the action but Messer is working from the bottom.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williamson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Williamson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Steele, pushing him back against the cage. Williamson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Williamson lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Shane Steele has been cut. Williamson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Steele clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
