I think Takahashi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Come to Daddy - Aphex Twin. Sen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Let It Rock. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sen sends Takahashi crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Sen is motioning to the referee to let Takahashi up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Takahashi is rocked! Sen drops Takahashi with a naaaaasty hook - Takahashi is in real trouble here! Sen dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Gamble picks Lao up and slams him brutally to the floor. Lao is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Izgrate swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kutalion throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Izgrate's waist but Izgrate gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kutalion off to one side. Kutalion clinches. Izgrate can't break the clinch.
Izgrate escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kutalion moves in looking to clinch but Izgrate pushes him off. Kutalion is looking to clinch but Izgrate is avoiding it.
Izgrate gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kutalion has gone for a leg lock! Izgrate slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kutalion's guard. Izgrate slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kutalion looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kutalion isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Izgrate stacks Kutalion on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Izgrate! Kutalion is looking for a sweep. Kutalion trying to remain calm as Izgrate controls from the top position. Kutalion is trying to improve his position. Izgrate wants to stand but Kutalion is controlling his arm. Kutalion wants to get back to his feet but Izgrate drags him back down. Izgrate tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Izgrate knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kutalion on the ground.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick misses from Izgrate.

Kutalion darts in trying to clinch and Izgrate counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Izgrate. Kutalion pulls Izgrate into guard.
Kutalion lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Izgrate! Kutalion trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kutalion misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kutalion working for a submission but Izgrate is keeping him at bay. Izgrate stops Kutalion from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Kutalion throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kutalion can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Izgrate is looking to escape. Izgrate really wants to buck Kutalion off and get back to his feet. Kutalion prevents Izgrate from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Franjy Izgrate will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kutalion tries to clinch but fails miserably and Izgrate counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Horrible takedown by Kutalion or perhaps it was just good defense by Izgrate which made him look bad. Kutalion tries to clinch up and Izgrate makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Izgrate throws a nice looking combination but Kutalion bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kutalion tries to clinch but Izgrate moves away and Izgrate counters with a stiff right hand. Kutalion closes the distance looking to clinch and Izgrate counters with a leg kick. Kutalion doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Izgrate will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kutalion is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Kutalion misses with an elbow over the top. Kutalion content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Izgrate is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Izgrate gets underhooks to prevent Kutalion's takedown attempt.
Kutalion is trying to maintain a safe position but Izgrate gets an underhook and turns Kutalion into the cage. Izgrate breaks the clinch.

Izgrate throws a combination. Kutalion tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Izgrate tries to keep at a distance but Kutalion has taken the fight into the clinch. Izgrate wants to get back to striking at distance but Kutalion won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kutalion drops back, looking for a kneebar! Izgrate looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Izgrate looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Izgrate! Kutalion isn't going anywhere. Kutalion is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Izgrate off and has taken his back! Izgrate fending off the submission attempt from Kutalion. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Izgrate is trying to stand back up.

Kutalion might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Izgrate kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Kutalion is controlling the position but Izgrate somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

It looks like Beleg Kutalion has been cut. Kutalion moves into range and clinches up with Izgrate. Kutalion wants the takedown. Izgrate is fighting it off but Kutalion persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Izgrate's guard against the cage. Kutalion drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Izgrate manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kutalion has Izgrate in his guard. Kutalion is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Izgrate rolls with it to try and escape but Kutalion cranks on the arm and Izgrate is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Lewis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lewis landing strikes. Lewis scoring with punches from side control. Okita is looking to reverse the position. Lewis has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Okita! Okita defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lewis. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Okita tries to hold on but Lewis pushes him away. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Okita escapes and throws Lewis's legs to the side, diving into side control! Lewis looks gassed! Okita is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lewis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Okita has Lewis up against the cage in a clinch.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Okita jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Okita is looking to work some ground and pound but Lewis has wrist control. Okita has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Okita wants to control from the top but Lewis keeps moving. Lewis will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meningitis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Meningitis blocks a jab. Soszynski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Meningitis tries to land a front kick but Soszynski steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Meningitis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Soszynski.

Mendez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zizzmen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mendez has Zizzmen in his guard. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Zizzmen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
