1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mauricio Shogun Rua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Diccico! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diccico throws a head kick but Rua moves out of range.
Rua shoots for a double leg takedown but Diccico sprawls well. He's pushed Rua's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rua shoots in and drives through. Diccico sprawls well. Rua shoots in but Diccico avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Shogun Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diccico decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Diccico performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kostya gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and JAMES counters with a shoot takedown. Kostya fights it but they end up in guard. JAMES wants to pass the guard but Kostya is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. JAMES in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kostya trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. JAMES content to stall in guard here. Kostya keeping moving, preventing JAMES from controlling successfully. JAMES loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. JAMES throwing strikes from guard but Kostya blocks nicely.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, adolf christ! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardy gets the takedown into side control. Hardy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by christ, who protects the arm well. Hardy tries to move into full mount but can't pass christ's legs. christ tries to buck Hardy off but Hardy is having none of it. christ takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. christ manages to get back to half guard. Hardy slows the pace down in half guard. christ tries to get to full guard but Hardy has control of the leg. Hardy not doing much here.
christ is not content to let Hardy control the position. Hardy winds up and cracks christ with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Hardy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hardy lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear christ down.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hardy scores with a takedown into christ's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hardy prevents christ from getting the reversal. christ is breathing heavily. Hardy moves to back control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hardy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hardy controlling christ's posture. Hardy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That was a close second round but I would say that Forrest Hardy will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
