Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Honory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spiidi Haukka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honory comes to the cage accompanied by You can hate me now. Jason Honory had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Spiidi Haukka was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spiidi Haukka! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haukka has closed the distance and engaged Honory in a clinch.
Honory breaks from the clinch.
Honory fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haukka sprawls well initially but Honory persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Haukka keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Haukka trying to hold on to Honory's head to control him but Honory postures up.
Honory knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Haukka on the ground. Haukka throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Haukka is looking to escape. Haukka gets back to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Honory looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Honory is breathing heavily. Honory tries to free his leg and advance position but Haukka is retaining full guard. Honory controlling from the top position. Honory avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Honory won't allow Haukka to sweep him here. Haukka manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Honory shoots in and bounces Haukka off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Haukka looking for a guillotine here but Honory defends easily.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Honory tries to get out of the position. Haukka decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Haukka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Honory. You can see the frustration on Haukka's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Haukka is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Honory off and has taken his back! Haukka is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Haukka gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Haukka gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Haukka apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Honory is trying to get back to full guard. Haukka seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Honory does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Haukka seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Honory wants to stand but Haukka has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Haukka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Haukka wants to get back to his feet but Honory is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hayes is trying to control the action in half guard but Paskiainen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perusjyra shoots in and bounces Campbell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
