The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swisher dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mccaughan. That did some damage! Mccaughan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Swisher can pounce on him.
Swisher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mccaughan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Swisher is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mccaughan is just riding it out for now. Swisher eventually gives up the hold. Swisher looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

and Mccaughan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mccaughan shoots in looking for a takedown. Swisher tries to sprawl out of it but Mccaughan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Swisher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Swisher throws a big shot that misses. Swisher tries for a takedown but Mccaughan circles away easily and Mccaughan counters with a single leg into guard. Swisher didn't expect that. Swisher postures up in Mccaughan's guard and throws a big left but Mccaughan blocks it. Mccaughan wriggles free and stands up. Swisher shoots and misses and Mccaughan counters with a single leg into guard. Swisher didn't expect that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mccaughan gets to his feet - Swisher follows without any prompting. A clash of legs there as Mccaughan blocks the low kick. Swisher tries for a takedown but Mccaughan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mccaughan misses with a jab, cross combination.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Swisher throws a head kick that misses. Swisher tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Swisher tries to clinch up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Eric Mccaughan will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Mccaughan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Swisher is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mccaughan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mccaughan prevents Swisher from moving into mount. Swisher is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mccaughan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Swisher tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Swisher has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Swisher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Swisher fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Swisher swings around for an armbar but Mccaughan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Swisher's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mccaughan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Swisher, up you get! Swisher's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Swisher duly obliges. Swisher connects with a jab. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mccaughan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sampson throws a sloppy head kick and Olofsson moves out of range easily. Olofsson moves into the clinch successfully.
Sampson looks to throw an elbow but misses. Olofsson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Sampson jumps into guard, dragging Olofsson to the mat.
Olofsson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Olofsson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sampson can't keep his opponent in guard - Olofsson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Olofsson is taking a breather. Sampson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Olofsson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Olofsson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sampson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Sampson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Olofsson counters with a takedown into side control. Olofsson taking a breather here. Olofsson blocks Sampson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Sampson is bucking up trying to escape but Olofsson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Olofsson controlling the pace for now. Olofsson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Sampson is forced to tap! Great finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Freeman closes the distance and clinches up with Bethea, looking for a takedown. Freeman pushes Bethea against the cage but Bethea circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bethea scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Bethea swats away the attempt to clinch by Freeman. Bethea looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Freeman! Freeman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Freeman is bucking up trying to escape but Bethea cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Bethea has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Freeman is working to get back to half guard.
