3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Evgeni Novikov! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moskoff bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Novikov tries a head kick but it misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moskoff. Moskoff shoots in looking for a takedown. Novikov tries to sprawl out of it but Moskoff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Novikov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Novikov throws a head kick but Moskoff moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moskoff has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Novikov is working away from the top position though. Novikov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moskoff's head. Novikov works his foot free and advances to mount. Moskoff is in all sorts of trouble here.
Novikov pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Novikov wants to take Moskoff's back but he can't do it this time. Moskoff keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Moskoff sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moskoff looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moskoff defends it well. Novikov has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Novikov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Moskoff looks a forlorn figure.
Novikov prevents Moskoff from getting the reversal. Novikov goes for an armbar but Moskoff turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Moskoff. Moskoff drops back looking for a leg! Novikov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Novikov manages to kick Moskoff off! Moskoff jumps back into Novikov's guard. Moskoff is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moskoff tries to free his leg and advance position but Novikov is retaining full guard. Moskoff trying to control but Novikov is working from the bottom. The fighters roll with the hold and Novikov manages to kick Moskoff off! Moskoff jumps back into Novikov's guard. Novikov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moskoff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Novikov has his foot on Moskoff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moskoff works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Novikov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Moskoff! Novikov avoids the attempt from Moskoff to control. Novikov looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Novikov punching from mount but Moskoff doing a good job of avoiding damage. Novikov sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Novikov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Moskoff has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Moskoff! Moskoff controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Novikov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Moskoff has his hands clasped together but Novikov extends an breaks Moskoff's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Novikov.

It looks like The Azazel has been cut. Fridman lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Azazel falls backwards - clearly groggy! Fridman dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
