2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Perry! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! mcPherson slips a jab and a cross from Perry.
mcPherson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. mcPherson scores with a couple of short elbows. mcPherson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perry has escaped the position, nice work there. Perry is being controlled here. Perry tries to escape but mcPherson is in control. mcPherson advances to full mount. Perry is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
mcPherson controlling from the full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. mcPherson moves to back control.
That's one minute gone in the round. mcPherson punches the canvas rather than the man. mcPherson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. mcPherson misses with a punch to the head. mcPherson is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Perry wants to get back to his feet. Perry looks gassed! mcPherson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Perry knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Perry for a finish. Perry showing good submission defense here.

Perry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with mcPherson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Perry wants to stand but mcPherson is controlling his posture from full guard. mcPherson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Perry has his hands clasped together but mcPherson extends an breaks Perry's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gomez lands in his opponent's guard. Kangas wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Kangas wants to sweep but no luck. Gomez stands and steps away. Kangas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kangas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kangas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Gomez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kangas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gomez trying to control but Kangas is working from the bottom. Gomez throwing strikes from guard but Kangas blocks nicely. Gomez has hold of Kangas's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kangas manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kangas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kangas controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kangas scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Gomez striking off his back but it's not causing Kangas any problems. Gomez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kangas trying to control the position from guard on top but Gomez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kangas throws a strike but Gomez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kangas keeping moving, preventing Gomez from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kangas is on top in guard.

Gomez with a lazy takedown attempt and Kangas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gomez won't be happy with that. Kangas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gomez is trying to control Kangas's posture but Kangas avoids it. Gomez gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Gomez tries to roll over but Kangas keeps him under control. Kangas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gomez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gomez is pressing down on Kangas's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodrow lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Woodrow rushes Qadirov and presses him up against the cage. Qadirov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Qadirov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Woodrow works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Alexander Woodrow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Qadirov tries to buck Woodrow off but he can't manage it. Woodrow sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Qadirov is trying to get back to his feet but can't. I think Ing might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Suburban Train. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas tries to clinch up. Ing throws a right hand that Thomas ducks under and follows up with a left that Thomas also avoids with ease. Thomas fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ing shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ing was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Thomas wants to control but Ing is having none of it. Ing looking to secure an arm triangle but Thomas defends it well. Thomas punching to the body and holding on for dear life. Ing takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Thomas really wants to buck Ing off and get back to his feet. Ing has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Ing shoots in and bounces Thomas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
