3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pat Elwood! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makounochi throws a shot to the body.
Elwood clinches up with Makounochi and pushes him back against the cage. Makounochi breaks the clinch.
Makounochi jabs at Elwood's body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Makounochi, as that shot connected.
Makounochi avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Elwood has managed to clinch.
Makounochi is trying to break free. Elwood drops down looking for an ankle pick but Makounochi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Makounochi fails to land with a series of punches.
A big left from Makounochi misses. Makounochi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Makounochi misses with an uppercut
and Elwood counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Makounochi's guard now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Elwood gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Elwood showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Makounochi.
Elwood ducks right into an uppercut from Makounochi. Elwood drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Makounochi keeping moving, preventing Elwood from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elwood passes into half guard. Elwood is working for a kimura but Makounochi is defending it quite comfortably.
Makounochi is breathing heavily. Elwood is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Elwood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Makounochi keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Makounochi is in trouble now - Elwood has advanced to mount! Elwood looking to secure an arm triangle but Makounochi defends it well. Elwood looking to finish with strikes here!

Elwood closes the distance and clinches up with Makounochi, looking for a takedown. Elwood pushes Makounochi against the cage but Makounochi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ippo Makounochi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Elwood tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Elwood shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Elwood seems to be working for a kimura but Makounochi defends the submission attempt. Elwood takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Makounochi is staying active underneath Elwood, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Elwood is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Elwood frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makounochi is trying to stand. Elwood jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Makounochi manages to avoid the submission attempt. Elwood wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Makounochi, who protects the arm well. Elwood tries for a kimura but Makounochi is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elwood is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Makounochi looks calm but he's in trouble here. Elwood gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Makounochi is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Elwood lets go of the hold and Makounochi can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Homes has a takedown stuffed. Razor throws a series of punches but Homes avoids them all with ease. Razor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Homes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Homes shoots in but Razor avoids the takedown attempt easily. Homes fails to land the takedown. Lewis Razor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Homes. Razor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Razor stuffs the takedown attempt from Homes. Homes gets slowly back to his feet. Razor tries to clinch up. Razor throws a shot to the body.
Homes shoots for a double leg takedown but Razor sprawls well. He's pushed Homes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Razor stuffs the takedown attempt from Homes. Homes gets slowly back to his feet. Homes slips a jab and a cross from Razor.

Homes misses with a takedown attempt - Razor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Razor goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Homes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Henry Homes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Homes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Razor circles away. Homes feints and as Razor raises his hands in defense, Homes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Homes prevents Razor from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Homes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Razor dives on top into guard. Homes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Razor tries to avoid it but Homes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Razor to the ground. Razor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Razor thuds a left hand into Homes's body. Homes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. No luck for Homes with that takedown attempt. A left and a right from Razor both land. Nice combination. Nice sprawl there from Razor as Homes shoots in. Homes shoots in looking for a takedown. Razor tries to sprawl out of it but Homes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Razor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Homes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Homes swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Razor is now in Homes's guard. A big mistake from Homes there, giving up the dominant position! Razor wanted to stand there but Homes had control of the position. Razor might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Razor works his way back into a safe position though. Homes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Razor manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Razor is in a bad position with Homes working for a choke. Razor manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Homes wants to sweep but no luck. Homes looking for a guillotine here but Razor defends easily.
Homes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Razor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Razor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Razor stopping the sweep attempt from Homes. Homes working for a triangle but Razor defends it easily.
Henry Homes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. No luck for Homes with that takedown attempt. Homes closes the distance and lands a one-two.
And that's the end of the fight! Henry Homes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Razor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smalls has Donaldson up against the cage in a clinch.
Donaldson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Smalls tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Donaldson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Smalls breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Donaldson tries to clinch but Smalls moves out of range. A slapping leg kick lands for Smalls.
Smalls fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Donaldson, pushing him back against the cage. Smalls keeps control of Donaldson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Smalls breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Biggie Smalls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smalls throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Donaldson colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Smalls as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Donaldson is left battered and dazed whilst Smalls and his camp cheer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Channel tries to close the distance and clinch but Palmer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Palmer moves into the clinch successfully.

Channel trying to stand up but can't free himself from Palmer's guard. Palmer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Channel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Palmer wants to sweep but no luck. Palmer striking off his back but it's not causing Channel any problems. Palmer looking for a sweep. Not yet Palmer, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palmer is working hard here to advance position. Channel trying to stand up but can't free himself from Palmer's guard. Channel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Palmer working for a triangle but Channel defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Channel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Palmer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Channel's back instead. Palmer is working for a rear naked choke. Channel is not defending it well and Palmer has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Channel refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Channel's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nieminen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tupp pinned against the cage. Tupp gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nieminen tries a head kick but it misses.
Nieminen keeps the fight on the outside. Nieminen scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Nieminen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tupp. Nieminen throws a good cross that connects.
Tupp is looking to clinch but Nieminen is avoiding it.
Nieminen dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nieminen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tupp's hands. Nieminen scores with a takedown into Tupp's guard. Nieminen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tupp manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nieminen manages to get himself to full guard.

Tupp trying to control the position from guard on top but Nieminen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tupp working some strikes from top position. Tupp looking to sit in guard and control but Nieminen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tupp throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
