The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter moves out of range as Kringle throws a body kick.
Kringle fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carter throws a left that rocks Kringle and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Carter dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Kringle regain composure!

It looks like Kristofer Kringle has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carter decides to stand back up. Carter steps back and let's Kringle get back to his feet.
Carter fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck for Kringle with that takedown attempt.
Carter cracks a nice hook into Kringle's ribs.
Kringle is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Carter lands a high kick to the side of Kringle's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Carter dives into guard, looking to finish.

Kringle is rocked!

Kringle is working an open guard so Carter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Oh Kringle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Carter gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Carter breaks from the clinch.
Kringle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Kringle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kringle walks straight into a right hand from Carter - that's dropped him! Carter jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kringle from any more punishment! Kringle complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
