The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loca avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nottingham shoots in but Loca avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Nottingham shoots in and drives through. Loca sprawls well.
Loca tries to clinch there but Nottingham circles away.

Nottingham looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Nottingham stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Loca swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nottingham drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Loca dives on top into guard.

Nottingham drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Loca manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nottingham has Loca in his guard.

Nottingham working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Loca doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Loca manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nottingham had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Loca is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nottingham Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Loca's back instead.

Nottingham is looking for the choke from the back position but Loca is controlling his hands well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Loca looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Loca is trying to get back to his feet but Nottingham has full control of the position and if anything, Loca has just worked his way into a worse spot.
